Q) What are the current projects that you are working on?

A) I am working on my third year of “7th Heaven.”

Q) How does the show continue to come up with new and creative storylines?

A) I am one of many that are completely amazed by the creativity of Brenda Hampton and all of the other writers have been able to show over the years and how they have been able to keep the show on the air with the fresh ideas. It’s really amazing to me!

Q) What made you originally want to be on the show?

A) Originally, I met with Brenda Hampton and I loved the idea of the show. I loved the fact that it was a family show, that it stood for good morals and that it had a positive message with all of the episodes that they do. It was something that I really identified with and really wanted to be a part of.

Q) In real life, you’re a success at baseball. Was this a part of your character when you joined the show or was it written specifically for you?

A) I believe it was specifically written for me. They kind of called me and asked me what I like to do outside of acting. I told them that I like to play baseball and I play for my high school. They wrote that in there for me, which is a nice little bonus!

Q) Because of your role on the show, you’ve been nominated twice for Teen Choice Awards, how does this make you feel?

A) Honestly, that was one of my favorite awards. I loved being nominated just because it is coming from the fans and it just shows their real appreciation. People who are actually watching you, those that really enjoy your work and those that have taken to it are voting on it.

Q) Do you feel like you are a role model for teenagers?

A) I don’t know! If I am, I hope I am a good one! I try to keep my responsibility up there and try to do things and look at them as if someone were to see me doing this would it be the right decision or would it be the right thing for kids to see me doing. I kind of try to live my life that way just in case someone does look at me that way!

Q) Is this the last season of “7th Heaven?”

A) I don’t know yet. That is something that is to be determined by people who have much more power than I do.

Q) Your character plays the son of a Marine. Have you gotten a lot of positive feedback from children with actual parents in the military?

A) I have gotten a lot of good feedback! It’s good because it’s nice to know that when you are playing someone on television that it is having a good impact on someone who is watching you, that you are not disappointing them and that they are getting something positive out of watching what you are doing.

Q) What made you originally want to be an actor?

A) Originally, my brother and I wanted to make money to buy video games. We wanted to do some commercials and get some money to buy more things to play with. We just wanted some extra cash.

Q) What are your other passions besides acting?

A) It would probably have to be my baseball. Acting and baseball kind of take up most of my time so I don’t have too much room for anything more.

Q) Thanksgiving is coming up. What are you thankful for?

A) I am thankful for all of my opportunities that I have been given. I have had a lot of blessings and I am very thankful for those. I am thankful for my family. There are a lot of things I am thankful for! I am definitely thankful for all of my blessings, opportunities and abilities I have been given.

Q) What do you do in your spare time?

A) In my spare time, I like to go to the beach with my friends or kind of hang out and play poker or video games. I like to relax and go swimming, go in the spa or play a little volleyball.

Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?

A) I would like to say thank you very much for all of your support and for continuing to be there in our 10th season! I know it’s been a long time and it’s incredible that the show is still there. Thank you a lot for all of your continued support and for staying loyal. Thank you for continuing to tune in and watch us every week!
