WHAT?         Kiss Her I’m Famous

BY: Tello Films

WHO?

This series is created by Rolla Selbak. It follows two best friends, Mandy (Tracy Ryerson from The Real L Word) and Jen (Ilea Matthews). What do you do when your girlfriend dumps you because you are not adventurous enough? Seek solace in your best friend. What do you do if your free spirited best friend, who has a knack for getting into trouble, is also down on her luck and has just discovered that her boyfriend is cheating on her? Answer: Make a sex tape with said best friend in the hopes of showing you are adventurous and catapulting your best friend into the stardom she constantly craves. What could possibly go wrong with such a level headed and thought out plan?

WHY SHOULD I WATCH?

If the premise alone isn’t enough to get you to watch, then watch because of the amazing chemistry between the two stars. As with the best of onscreen friendships, these two characters balance each other. One, Mandy is far more grounded and responsible, whereas Jen is a much more impetuous, spontaneous free spirit who usually acts first and thinks later.

Tracy Ryerson once again proves that The Real L Word is the place to go for quality actors. This is the second time I have seen Tello Films use an actress from The Real L Word (the first being Whitney Mixter) and beautifully showcase the actress’ talent and likeability. I would gladly watch any web series or movie that cast Tracy Ryerson.

Ilea Matthews plays a loveable Kenzi-ish from Lost Girl type best friend who has the best of intentions and always seems to come up with a plan by coloring outside of the lines. Ilea is the perfect complement to Ryerson’s more straight forward, ducks in a row, play by the rules Mandy.

If you are looking for a comedy that truly showcases the beauty and limitlessness of true friendship then Kiss Her I’m Famous should be the next web series you watch.
