Dolls (Shamier Anderson) and Doc (Tim Rozon) have hunted down Moody (Kevin Hanchard) in a quest for answers. Black Badge (“BB”) has decided to call it quits on Dolls’ team and the Ghost River Triangle. The supernatural higher-ups decided it was fiscally irresponsible to throw resources at a war they have no chance of winning. In summary, Black Badge ghosted the Ghost River Triangle. Moody hands over a file containing BBD’s information on the Widows and takes off for good.

In one of Purgatory’s many churches, a Widow is caught digging in the basement by the priest. She’s upset because the item she was looking for is gone so she chokes out the priest when he interrupts her and proceeds to snack on his body while a mortified nun watches.

On the Homestead, Wynonna (Melanie Scrofano) and Waverly (Dominique Provost-Chalkley) are hard at work reclaiming all the shiny metal trinkets Gooverly absconded with. Waverly wants to use this time to discuss Wynonna’s bun in the oven, but that’s the last thing Wynonna wants to think about – let alone discuss. She grants Waverly one question, but as soon as she hears it she cuts Waverly off because she’s got a lot of heir stuff going on and can’t handle anything pregnancy-related. She “nopes” herself out of the conversation into town after a quick bathroom break.

Wynonna shows up at Purgatory PD to beg Nicole (Katherine Barrell) for a case because she needs a distraction. Unfortunately, Purgatory’s paranormal scene has decided to take a quick siesta so Nicole’s got nothing. To Nicole’s relief, Waverly walks in and hands Wynonna a steaming cup of decaf “not coffee.” Nicole asks Waverly to get rid of Wynonna so they can spend some time together when her shift ends. Before Wynonna has a chance to continue her streak of interrupting “WayHaught,” the nun walks in with her hands covered in blood. She’s come to report that her boss (the priest, not God) has been killed.

At the Gardner house, Beth (Meghan Heffern) and Mercedes (Dani Kind) are frustrated that they haven’t been able to locate the second seal. Bobo moved it and now folks are onto them after Beth ate that priest. They can’t find the Stone Witch to ask her and Juan Carlos is too strong for them to take on. Mercedes tosses some rings on a map of Purgatory and the one that lands the Clockmaker’s mansion gives her an idea to use Hypnos (Andreas Apergis) to find the second seal.

Cut to the Clockmaker’s mansion, where Tucker (Caleb Ellsworth-Clark) approaches a woman named Poppy (Kiana Madeira) who’s changing Hypnos’ IV bag. Tucker pulls the IV line out despite Poppy’s protests and Hypnos wakes up. He threatens Tucker but the Widows gave him the ring from earlier, so he’s immune. leaving Hypnos no choice but to give the Widows time.

In the former BB office, the nun shares what happened at the church. She was rummaging through the basement when she felt something that she never gets to state because Wynonna’s busy projecting all her pregnancy anxiety. The nun was suddenly frozen and forced to watch a Widow eat her boss. Waverly tells the nun she’s safe, which is a blatant lie. In Purgatory, you can be many things, but “safe” is not one of them. Jeremy (Varun Saranga) realizes Wynonna’s encountered the Widows before. She saw them on what used to be a Church, a/k/a consecrated ground. Since both Widow sightings took place on consecrated ground, they figure that they must be looking for another seal. Wynonna asks how much consecrated ground is in the Ghost River Triangle and, based on Waverly’s answer, it seems impossible to find another seal…until Jeremy offers to use math. Dolls and Doc march in with news of BBD’s disappearance, which relieves everyone but Jeremy. Unlike the rest of the team, Jeremy was an actual paid employee and his income and benefits just got cut. He gets up to leave, but one word from Doc and he’s in it for the long haul. Wynonna’s goals are the same with or without BB so she’s got some demons to deal with. Dolls pulls her aside to ask her to grab coffee, which she agrees to not realizing he means a date. Waverly understands that Wynonna is oblivious so she drags her into Nicole’s office to let her know she just agreed to a date in front of Doc. Waverly thinks hiding the pregnancy is unfair, but Wynonna shuts her down. It’s her body so everything related to this pregnancy is her decision. She doesn’t owe anybody anything. She tells Waverly to stop pushing her and to stop judging her (especially since she doesn’t have a leg to stand on after dating Champ). Wynonna spots Nicole shooting heart-eyes at her sister so she tells Waverly to go enjoy her normal relationship.

Jeremy figures out where the seal is located, but nobody is around. So, he heads out to retrieve it himself.

We catch up with “WayHaught” making out in Waverly’s room. Nicole pauses because she needs some stuff clarified. She wants to know much of the time they spent together was actually Waverly because they made some big strides in their relationship and it would be awkward if she wasn’t present for them. Waverly assures her that she remembers every second she spent with Nicole and with that cleared up, they jump into bed for some “Yay, nobody’s possessed” sex.

Wynonna arrives at the diner and paces behind Dolls until she musters up the courage to sit down and when she sees Dolls smiling, it becomes clear that Waverly was right. Wynonna doesn’t know what to do so she invites Mercedes to join. Wynonna picks up on something being off with her friend, which Mercedes plays it as being annoyed with Tucker (because it’s the truth). Wynonna offers her friend her ear whenever she needs to vent and Mercedes bounces after receiving a text from Tucker. Wynonna flees to the bathroom to pee for the millionth time today when Hypnos’ spell kicks in and everyone takes a nap.

Peacemaker decides that Wynonna’s had a long enough nap and brings her back to the land of the living with a few zaps. She’s confused about being covered in dust and mortified by the third-trimester-sized baby bump she’s now sporting. She snags a cop’s jacket that’s big enough to accommodate her and wakes Dolls. They’ve got no clue what’s going on, but it’s clear they’ve been asleep for a while. They wander outside and Wynonna remembers her baby sister so she rushes to the Homestead.

When Wynonna arrives, she finds Waverly asleep in bed so she does the sisterly thing and smacks her in the face with a pillow. Before Waverly can fully wake, Wynonna’s shoving her belly in her sister’s face. Waverly’s concerned about the pregnancy, but mostly about Nicole because the last time she saw her she wasn’t wearing any clothes. Cue Nicole shrieking and Dolls stuttering an apology.

Downstairs everyone works on a plan to figure out what’s going on while passing around caffeine. Nicole wants to wake the town, but it would just make it difficult to spot whoever’s responsible. They decide to raid the evidence locker for stimulants to keep themselves awake while they figure out what the hell’s going on. Waverly gives Wynonna a cover for avoiding any drugs, which Wynonna pretends to be annoyed by but the thankful smirk she shoots Waverly says otherwise. Everyone heads out except Wynonna, who finally has a minute to inspect her stomach. She’s interrupted when Nicole wanders back in, having forgotten her gloves. Nicole’s surprised but reads Wynonna’s discomfort so after finding out if Waverly knows (because she can’t keep anything from her girl), Nicole goes back to business mode. She’s decided to do a sweep of the town and make sure nobody’s in immediate danger.

At Hypnos’ house, the Widows are frustrated they still haven’t found the seal and now Hypnos’ powers are waning. They threaten Poppy so he does his best to maintain the spell. Tucker whines about his prize and how he’s earned it because of something he found in the salt flats, but he’s cut off when Hypnos realizes the heir is awake and can’t put her back to sleep.

At Purgatory PD, Dolls hands out stimulants and radios while warning Waverly to not use cutesy codenames. Wynonna asks Waverly to go wake Doc since she’s not ready to talk to him. They give each other the codes names “Angelpants” and “BaconDonut” before splitting up.

Wynonna sticks around the station to have a cup of tea when the Widows show up to steal Jeremy’s intel. Wynonna tries to fight them, but gets tossed over a table while they grab the goods.

Waverly finds Doc in bed with Rosita so after waking him she rushes downstairs to pour herself a few shots to help her erase that image. Waverly’s a little defensive because she knows Doc and Wynonna have some stuff to work out and Rosita is a monkey wrench they don’t need. Doc senses Waverly’s judgement and brings up Wynonna avoiding him, which he assumes it’s because she and Dolls are now a thing. Waverly sidesteps that accusation by asking for an energy drink. They head into to the basement and find Jeremy asleep. When they wake him, Jeremy jumps up and attempts to move some “heavy” crates while explaining that the second seal is in the back of the basement. Doc helps him out and they find the seal.

Dolls finds Wynonna sitting where the Widows left her with her belly on full display. He’s thrown and, forgetting how Wynonna wasn’t this pregnant the last time he was awake, scolds her for not telling him sooner. He begins to baby her, but Wynonna’s not about that. She’s the goddamn Earp heir and being pregnant doesn’t change that. She’s going to keep on sending shit tickets to hell and look hot while she’s doing it. Nicole radios in that she’s spotted the Widows headed to Hypnos’ house.

Wynonna kicks down the door and they find Hypnos alone, maintaining the spell. Wynonna tells him to wake everybody but Hypnos won’t sacrifice his daughter, Poppy. The Widows have taken her hostage while they hunt for the last two seals. If he’s killed before lifting the spell, everyone under it will die. So, they’re left with no option but to rescue Poppy from Tucker. They spot the map the Widows stole and see that second seal is at Shorty’s.

With the seal in hand, Waverly radios Wynonna to let her know the good news but Wynonna’s got nothing but bad news. Her warning is a smidge too late because the Widows arrive while she’s telling them to run. Doc and Waverly take a few shots, but regular bullets have no effect. The Widows blow ice breath on Doc and Waverly, freezing them, while Jeremy gets knocked out by the sleeping curse again. The Widows begin chanting, which wakes Jeremy up. He gets up to try and help Doc, but he kicks over an energy drink. The Widows pause their chanting and shoot some ice breath Jeremy’s way.

Nicole’s been put back to sleep by the curse so Wynonna gives her a shot of adrenaline. She needs Nicole to find Tucker while she goes and saves Waverly from the Widows. Good thing Nicole’s been tracking his phone for weeks. He’s on the Homestead so Wynonna sends Nicole and Dolls to deal with him while she heads to Shorty’s to stop the Widows. Dolls doesn’t want to leave Wynonna, but she needs him to make sure Nicole stays safe because she doesn’t want Waverly to suffer the pain of the “Bury Your Gays” trope. She mentions needing to talk to Doc and Dolls gets her meaning, so he gives her a kiss and reverts back to the demeanor of her boss.

In Waverly’s room, Tucker’s forcing Poppy to roleplay as Waverly. Nicole and Dolls arrive and Poppy screams for help, but Dolls hasn’t had enough caffeine and is out so Nicole goes in alone. She bursts into the room and Tucker grabs Poppy to use as a human shield. He rants about how smart he is, which nobody wants to hear, so Poppy hits him in the ribs and moves out of the way so Nicole can shoot him. He can’t believe that she shot him after she warned him that she was going to shoot him so he jumps out the window.

Wynonna show up at Shorty’s moments after the Widows break the seal. She shoots one in the arm while they flee. When they’re gone everyone thaws out and Wynonna shows Doc her pregnant belly. He goes wide eyed and excuses himself, leaving Wynonna crushed.

Wynonna returns to Hypnos’ house after the town wakes. Nobody’s noticed that they lost a month because Hypnos passed time in a dream state, not reality. Unfortunately, Wynonna’s offspring is as sbtuborn as she is and refused to go back in time, leaving Wynonna super pregnant. Dolls enters and shoots Hypnos and rudely demands Wynonna do the same…so she does.

A while later Wynonna heads to the station to check in with Waverly, but Doc and Dolls rush out to talk to her. She’s not ready to face either of them after how they behaved earlier so she runs away while Waverly hold them back. Wynonna deserves all the time and space she wants so they need to back off. Doc respects that and asks Waverly to pass a note when she thinks Wynonna is ready.

At the Gardner house, Widow Mercedes nurses a Peacemaker wound when the doorbell rings. They find the Stone Witch’s head and a note about playing a new game. Tucker went and killed the only resource they had to assist in finding the seals.

Waverly finds Wynonna lounging on the ground, joins her and asks if she’s ok. Wynonna’s nowhere close to ok. The universe has had it out for her from day one and she’s tired to not being in control of her destiny. She didn’t choose to be the heir and she’s been on two types of birth control since she was a teen. She doesn’t believe she can do this. Waverly doesn’t tell Wynonna everything’s going to be okay because that’s a hollow promise. All she can say for sure is that she will always be there for Wynonna. She hands over Doc’s note, which is four simple words that change everything, “I am all in.”
