ZOTOWSKI – Bottle For The Yo

Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) My sound would usually include melodies unless I’m in the mood of getting very lyrical. So far, as production it could range from southern rap to old school to pop. It just depends on what day you catch me.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I have a few hometown artists that not only inspired me to pursue music, but my content as well. But so far as sound, I would have to go with people like Ty Dolla Sign, Cole, YG and Kendrick.
Q) How do you write your music? Do you need lyrics before you come up with a beat?

A) First, I listen to the beat and try to find my flow on it. Then, I add the words in. After about the 8th bar I have written I have already come up with the feel and subject matter of the track. It’s all off top of the head from there.

Q) What is the message behind your single “Bottle for the Yo?”

A) “Bottle for the Yo” started off with just a guitar riff KayDay had playing on the speakers – no bass, no beat, no nothing. And I actually had alcohol in the studio at the time. So, that was really an impulsive track. In the song I was speaking on how I would rather be in the studio with a bottle recording instead of in the club or kicking it.

Q) Your twin brother, KayDay, produced the song. What is it like working so closely with your family?

A) Well, KayDay was there when I started writing music and I was there when he started making beats. So, us coming together to make a track is like second nature. And we have much more music coming.

Q) What kind of fan reaction have you gotten to “Bottle for the Yo?”

A) They love it! Thank God. It’s soon to be my most reposted song I’ve ever dropped with only twelve weeks in. I’m grateful.

Q) What can fans do to help promote your music?

A) Vibe to it at parties, smoke sessions, kick backs and whatever you and your friends do when you kick it.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your music?

A) I’d like to say THANK YOU for your support and I’m definitely working to take this to the next level.
