As someone is making their way through the woods and slowly approaching the Cold River Motel, the remaining survivors within the group are in Kawayan’s (Emmanuel Kabongo) room inside…seeing the artist as part of a twisted installation. Unable to handle the smell of blood, Paige (Paula Brancati) flees the room with Shirley (Yanna McIntosh) hot on her heels. However, Adrianna (Genevieve DeGraves) admits to not minding the smell…much to the repulsion of Floyd (Gray Powell) and the others. Blake (Atticus Mitchell) knows that she just could not help herself and is shocked that he agrees with Floyd on something.
The storm continues outside as everyone convenes inside the restaurant. Andy (Jim Watson), Blake, and Paige begin to realize that the killer must be among them. Quickly, the conversation devolves into a pointing of fingers at everyone in the room. But it is Adrianna’s declaration that she sees someone outside that has everyone scrambling to head outside and investigate. While at first they do not find anyone, they quickly discover a cloaked figure behind a tree. Fresh out of patience in their current predicament, they pin down the cloaked figure only to discover that it is JP (Daniel Kash)…the driver that brought them to the Motel.
Deciding to bring him inside, JP is shown the bodies in the freezer. Expecting that he is potentially the killer, the group is confused as they see him try to flee. Adrianna even adds that she does not believe JP is the killer, evidenced by the cuts and glass in his face. JP explains that he had an accident and after no one coming to his rescue, he went in pursuit of help and ended up at the motel. When he brings out the concealed weapon he was carrying, Blake leaves the room with Andy right behind him.
In the lobby, Blake and Andy begin to speculate about the driver being the killer. Floyd comes in and begins to discuss how they can contain JP….until the women enter the room and accuse the men leaving them out of the conversation. When the room descends into chaos, Adrianna sees the gun and grabs it. Standing on the counter and shooting one shot into the air, she declares that she, Paige, and Shirley will hole up in one room and the guys can continue to grandstand in the rest of the motel. Floyd gives a nod to Shirley to go ahead with the women to keep up appearances.
Securing the room Adrianna, Paige, and Shirley hunker down in a room and open cans of deadly-named canned wines and have a weird version of girl time. In the restaurant, the guys continue to be at each other’s throats, Floyd and Andy clearly dealing with some unresolved issues towards one another. The women share relationship stories, with Paige talking about her longest relationship being 2 years. Adrianna admits that she wishes she could find love, something that confuses Paige. When they ask Shirley for her opinion, she decides to break out her tarot cards and offer readings.
Paige decides not to participate, but Adrianna is eager to learn more about her future. The reading offers no “love or light” to Adrianna, showing that she faces backstabbing and betrayal….potentially death if she does not change her ways. Finally snapping, Adrianna takes out her anger over the reading on Paige. Outside of the room, things with Floyd and Andy come to a head and a scuffle ensues. When the fight reveals that Floyd has a cut on his back, the men begin to turn on Floyd and demand answers. Turning violent, Floyd starts to attack and the men turn on one another. JP sees the opportunity to flee from the other men and does so…Andy and Blake chase him.
Adrianna has gone completely on a psychotic break. Paige tries to grab the gun before Adrianna sees her, but it’s too late. Grabbing the gun from Paige, Adrianna begins to scream and break down in front of Paige and Shirley…waving the weapon in desperation. Meanwhile, JP runs down the hallway to escape the other men. However, the moment Adrianna goes to point her gun at Shirley and Shirley opens the door…Adrianna fires and ends up shooting JP. Locking Adrianna in the bathroom, Andy finally agrees to listen to Floyd’s idea about the shed. They lock Adrianna in the shed, Paige explaining that it is not safe for her to be in the motel with everyone else.
In a flashback, Adrianna goes to visit Wyatt Garvey (Jefferson Brown) in jail. Eager to get to know him, Adrianna flirts with Wyatt and the two establish a relationship. The two finally spend time together and get down and busy. But when Adrianna brings up Wyatt’s past, he tells her he’s not a monster. Wyatt snaps and begins to choke Adrianna, asking her if this is what she wanted as she struggles to breathe.
In present-time during her time in the shed, Adrianna starts to go a little stir-crazy. While the masked figure is shown making their way to the shed, Adrianna goes to arm herself. Deciding to break through the skylight, Adrianna flees the shed and attempts to make a run for it. However, she is stopped by the masked figure and is knocked out. When she wakes up, she finds herself tied and unable to move. She pleads for her life to the masked figure. Unfortunately, her words fall on deaf ears as the figure takes out their knife and kills Adrianna in the same fashion that Wyatt did…making her the next victim.
Inside the motel, Paige goes to Andy’s room and tells him that she’s worried about Adrianna. They go to visit her in the shed and find that she is missing, as evidenced by the broken skylight. Going back outside, they see muddy footprints and follow them….right to Adrianna’s body.
