Q) Please tell us the premise for The Wrath of Becky.

A) Two years after she escaped a violent attack on her family, 16-year-old Becky (Lulu Wilson) attempts to rebuild her life in the care of an older woman — a kindred spirit named Elena (Denise Burse). However, when a violent group known as the Noble Men break into their home, attacks them and takes their beloved dog, Becky must return to her old ways to protect herself and her loved ones.

Q) What was it about DJ or about the film that made you want to be a part of it?

A) The story and the team. I had worked with BoulderLight Pictures before (Pledge) and love the work they do. DJ seemed like a really interesting character where I could mix goofy and vicious.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the movie?

A) I had seen Lulu Wilson’s and Sean William Scott’s work before. I was impressed by both. It was a surreal experience to work with them.

Q) Talk about working with directors Matt Angel and Suzanne Coote.

A) Working with Matt and Suzanne was a dream. I can’t wait to work with them again. They knew exactly what they wanted to achieve and still allowed me to play with the character. 10/10.

Q) The film is epically bloody and has such intense moments. What were some of your favorite scenes to film?

A) When sh*t hits the fan. That’s when we see DJ’s true character and I get to really flex my dramatic acting chops. It’s especially rewarding when you’ve seen him play goofy and “devil may care” up until then.

Q) How did you shake off a long day of shooting?

A) I don’t really shake things off until after I wrap a project. While shooting a project, I’m obsessed with the work. After a long day of shooting, I’ll spend the rest of the night preparing for what I have to shoot the next day. I want to give it my all and be my best and the most prepared. This way, I can arrive on set and truly be present and allow myself to play and really take in the other actors and energy of the thing we are creating (whatever that thing is).

Q) What do you think it is about The Wrath of Becky that will make it a fast fan favorite horror/thriller?

A) Instant cult classic and audience favorite. Lulu Willson kicks ass and kills bad guys. Sean William Scott gives a dramatic turn as a stone-cold psychopath. Pure, bloody, blissful revenge. What’s not to love?

Q) You also have twelve singles under your belt as a musician. Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Funny you say that. [winks] I actually just released a nine-song comedy rap album titled It’s All Guuchi under DALLA VILLA, which features three comedic characters I created. I also just launched another persona, Christian rockstar PETER DA ROCK. His first song, “Godstar (Christian Parody of “All Star” by Smash Mouth”)” already has a music video with 11k views on YouTube and 45K views on Facebook within the first week. More to come.

Q) What are the other projects that you have been busy working on lately in front of our screens?

A) More Peter Da Rock songs. Writing a one-man show. Producing a few feature films. Auditioning for projects. Performing live comedy with Bragging Rights NY. Doing a workshop for The Outsiders in August. And have another movie coming to theaters September 28th, The Blind, The Incredible Redemption of Duck Dynasty’s Phil Robertson

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you do on our screens?

A) I just want to thank them for all of their love and support. I work so hard on each and every project I do. It really means so much to me that you continue to watch my work and support it.
