Interviews
Adam Glick – Below Deck Mediterranean
By: Jamie Steinberg
Q) It was touched on a bit on the show, but how did you get into yachting?
A) I was peeling a 50-pound bag of onions at a hotel in San Diego when I got the email to interview for a yacht. I quit my job that day and never looked back.
Q) What made you want to return this season of “Below Deck Mediterranean?”
A) I knew I could do better.
Q) Were there certain parts of your life you deemed off limits to the camera?
A) Just number two.
Q) What are some of your most memorable moments that you can tease from this season of “Below Deck Med?”
A) A certain returning charter guests gets a chance to throw me overboard!
Q) We saw you seem to have some chemistry last season with Malia. Do you feel the close quarters heightened your feelings?
A) No, I was just hooked on the gal.
Q) Have you and Malia [White] been in touch with last season?
A) I little bit. We say hi once in a while. She’s busy working on boats.
Q) In fact, who have you stayed in contact with from last season?
A) Basically everyone, except Wes [Walton]. I don’t think he ever got over the whole triangle deal.
Q) We saw last season there was an issue adhering to guest food preference. What have you taken away from that experience?
A) I learned how to take a deep breath and do what I’m told.
Q) Who would you have liked to have seen return to sharing a ship with you and why?
A) It sure would have been nice to have Max’s [Hagley] humor around. He always lightened up the day.
Q) You are a part of social media. Have you been enjoying the instant fan feedback you have been receiving?
A) I love the feedback and love using the platform to help inspire.
Q) The fandom is very interested in your personal and professional life. How does it make you feel to have so many people invested in you and your future?
A) I’m incredibly thankful for this position, in which I can inspire people to get outdoors and cook!
Q) What is something that you want to be sure viewers know about you or that you’d like to clarify?
A) Last season was ugly, cringeworthy at times. That wasn’t me and I wasn’t willing to leave it like that.
Q) What do you want to be sure fans know about you and your time on “Below Deck Mediterranean?”
A) “Below Deck Mediterranean” provided me a good year of introspection. And I really dialed it in. It’s been a wild ride and I’m excited about the future.
