Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Clean fresh and relatable, my sound is a “mutt” – it’s an accumulation of different artists and experiences…

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My older general influences are Queen, Boston, Kansas and Journey. My new school influences are Drake, Ed Sheeran, Dave Matthews and John Mayer.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Poster Child.”

A) That song is an expression of how I feel she and her family view me; it was spontaneous and raw and I believe that that aspect is what people connect to.

Q) “Poster Child” and “Bad Habit” are your newest releases. What can you tease are some new songs you’ve been working on?

A) “Friend Zone” and “Better” are some new songs. I like to have diversification in my sound so you can expect to be surprised, ‘cuz our outfit is evolving into something exceptional.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) My process is lifestyle, practice and execution. When inspiration hits, be ready so you don’t squander the magic. I’m a poet, not a lyricist.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I have a lot of influence because the company we work with looks at my feelings as the most crucial component to the song. So, how I feel is how they produce so you can see how much my feelings influence what you hear.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Adam Spreeman performance?

A) …I love being wild, my dancing is eclectic and underdeveloped, so you can expect to be entertained none the less.

Q) Do you have plans to release an EP or full album in the near future?

A) EP first, then the album.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Church is my favorite place – everyone is family and super honest. It’s the toughest crowd, the conditions are hard because the sound lacks and the band isn’t always on the same page with you so it forces you to be great. I like that.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Drake, no question.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Right now, I’m listening to Drake and Charlie Puth and I’m connecting them to create some sharp, bassy urban vibe – it’s nice.

Q) What advice would you give to upcoming musicians?

A) Just work hard, really hard and when you’re done and can’t go anymore, then go again and do this ‘til you tire and go again – work like your life depends on it, teach your heart who is in charge.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’m humbled and appreciative. The feeling of being loved and wanted is overwhelming and I’m working to meet the expectation that the attention has created.
