Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) We have a blend of many styles, but Hard Rock, Punk, Rock and Metal play the most prominent roles.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Bring Me the Horizon, 30 Seconds to Mars, All Time Low, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Blink 182, A Day to Remember and many, many more.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “The Fight.”

A) “The Fight” is a story about the journey of depression, the grief of anxiety and the gravity of suicide. Depression and suicide are at all-time highs and people feel more alone than ever. “The Fight” is a call to action; a call to stand up and face your demons, to surround yourself with others who will help you stand your ground, and ultimately, to find the strength to persevere.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) A feeling of hopelessness is an all too familiar feeling. When life presents its hardest challenges, it’s very easy to close yourself off from the world and from those who want to help. I think people truly connect to the feeling of wanting to change, but struggle with asking for help. We hope that listeners of “The Fight” feel encouraged to share their hardships, in order to create a community of people who are truly there for each other.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video is just a catalyst. A forum for people to come and see that we too, as humans, struggle with the same types of hardships. A forum where they can see they are not alone.

Q) What made you decide to include a documentary with the single’s release?

A) We really want our listeners to hear the message in the lyrics. We have a message of hope and sometimes that can go unnoticed. A documentary connects our emotions and struggles with our listeners. Really, we just want those who are struggling to know that they are never alone.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It changes depending on the song. For some songs, we are simply telling a story and at times the lyrics come naturally. For these songs, generally lyrics are written first and then music is written to fit the mood of the song. For a majority; however, the music is written first and lyrics are composed afterwards.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) We see our music’s production all the way through, to the end. We all try to maintain an active role in making sure that our music is true, full of passion and that we also love it.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Alive in Barcelona performance?

A) A very loud, high energy performance. We love to get the crowd going.

Q) What songs off your upcoming album are you looking forward to performing live?

A) We love performing all of our songs; however, “Know My Name,” “The Fight” and “Zombies” are three of our favorites.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your upcoming album as a whole?

A) That they are not alone. That through music, they can find a community of people who struggle and endure through the same trials that they do.
