Q) What are the recent projects that you have been working on?

A) I had a baby, so I’ve been on a new Mama break, but I recurred in the web series “Zac & Mia.” I shot this film in Feb. and I have another film in post-production that I shot in LA this past May/ June. No current project at the moment, but continuing to audition by self-tapes since moving out of LA.

Q) Please tell us the premise for the movie Seduced By My Neighbor.

A) I play the lead role of Sarah, a woman who’s lost her husband in car accident and has a teenage daughter.  We move to a new neighborhood to start fresh and be near my mother-in-law (Beth Broderick) who’s living an assisted care center where I get hired with a new job. With her blessing and encouragement to date again, I open myself up to Chris (Rocky Myers). We are welcomed graciously into the community by the neighborhood security guard (Trevor St. John) who becomes a trusted friend. Things start going horribly wrong and my character is challenged with loss, love and uncertainty.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the film?

A) Sam Irvin is a director I had enjoyed working with once before recommended me for the role, which is always a lovely thing to have happen. I liked the emotional journey the script took me through.

There is some dimension to my role and this was my first lead part since giving birth to my first baby in July 2017, so I was thrilled to get back to work.

Q) How was your character originally described to you?

A) I was told there would be an offer coming. I got the script read it as fast as I could because it was to start shooting in a week. There was no time for describing… just reading and deciding. [smiles]

Q) Was there anything you added to the role that wasn’t in the initial breakdown?

A) I always like to think I bring something to a role that wasn’t necessarily written in a breakdown, but I wouldn’t know in this case. I was offered the role, which I’m incredibly grateful for and just read it, liked it and knew I could bring the emotions this character would need to have.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on the movie?

A) Yes. Rocky Myers who plays Chris, my love interest, happens to be one of my closest girlfriend’s husbands. When I heard he was in the mix…I called them both and said, “You have to do this,” selfishly hoping his wife and baby would join for some of the shoot so we could all spend some time together. Rocky is a hard worker and was wonderful to work with.

Q) What advice did the director, Sam Irvin, offer you during filming that you took to heart?

A) Sam is the type of director who really trusts we will just bring it. He’s always open to my suggestions and questions about making sure I’m in the right place and I just go for it. His trust helps me trust myself more which is important when you are shooting an entire film and a short span of time.

Q) What were some of your favorite moments from filming or behind the scenes?

A) We had the wonderful Louisville Fire Department actually volunteer their time to help us out in the movie for a scene and I always love the funny moments that catch you by surprise when shooting, those unstoppable giggles that sometimes get the best of you. There’s a scene in the club house I shot with Chris (Rocky Myers) that in the script just tore up my heart…That became one of my favorite scenes we shot. As a mama, I greatly appreciated the flexibility and support from production to have help with an on-set nanny and privacy for needing to breastfeed and get to see her on my lunch breaks, it was a huge working mama bonus!

Q) What do you hope viewers take away from watching the movie?

A) Honestly, when I think of movie watching, I often just want that time to pause from my real life and wind down with being able to enjoy that time and relax. I hope that for the viewers as well.

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you excited to see the instant fan feedback you’ll receive to it?

A) Of course…Since my life has shifted into motherhood, more predominately I work less by the nature of my choices so I’m beyond grateful for the fans, family and friends who support what I do when I get the opportunity to be on a show. It’s a blast having that feedback from people everywhere!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and the work that you do?

A) THANK YOU from the depths of my gracious heart!!! My fanbase really began when I was on “General Hospital” in 2010/2011 and, man, have they stuck with me. I so appreciate anyone who takes the time to follow my journey and be a part of my world. Your comments and feedback are always welcome. I truly thank all of you.
