Aparna Brielle – A.P. Bio
By: Jamie Steinberg
Q) “A.P. Bio” was originally on NBC network, now it has transitioned over to Peacock streaming service. How has the show been affected following this transition?
A) Moving from NBC to Peacock means we get to push the boundaries a little more! Things definitely get weirder on this season of “A.P. Bio.” I like to think that the show is growing up with the kids — even though it’s all been the same school year.
Q) Tell us what Season 3 holds for Sarika.
A) After she got Jack’s (Glenn Howerton) help at the end of season 2, Sarika’s fully in collegiate mode. I think she and Jack have a healthy respect for each other as formidable frenemies, so this season she’s staying in her lane a little more.
Q) What are some of your favorite episodes that viewers should look out for in Season 3?
A) Some of my absolute favorites this season are Gary Meets Dave and Aces Wild. They’re both different and wildly funny. It’s been really fun seeing the world of Whitlock High expand in such bizarre ways!
Q) Who tends to break the most while filming super funny scenes?
A) Nick Peine, who plays Marcus, has actually had a talking-to for making us fall behind with the amount of times he’s broken for laughs. I don’t blame him. We’ve got a funny set.
Q) Who would you love to have as a guest star on “A.P. Bio?”
A) Jack Black, if you’re available, please call us and demand you share scenes with me.
Q) What would you like to say to the fans that supported your work all of these years?
A) Thank you for all of your love! It really means the world to me. I’m excited for you to see the things we’ve been cooking up this season on “A.P. Bio!”
Q) Do you have any other upcoming projects that you can share that fans should keep an eye out for?
A) I’ve got a new fictional comedy podcast called Swiss and Lali Hijack Hollywood! It’s about two LA slackers that somehow accidentally become con artists, all so they can give up “the hustle” and retire young at their dream beach house in Malibu. I’ve been voicing Lali for the podcast (and its companion animated episodes), which has been a really fun new experience — one I’ve been especially grateful to have during this pandemic. You can find it anywhere you like to listen to podcasts!
