Q) How would you describe your sound

A) I’d describe Archers as Metalcore with pop influences and elements.

Q) Who are some of the band’s musical influences?

A) We all have different influences which help us bring a lot of variety to our music. Some of our influences include Silverstein, Black Veil Brides, Memphis May Fire and PVRIS.

Q) Tell us the story behind your latest single “Never Enough.”

A) “Never Enough” was written about being caught up in a toxic relationship and, while there’s certainly a lot of lows that come with it, there’s also still some highs even if they’re temporary.

Q) What do you think it is about the single that fans connect to?

A) I think fans connect to the honesty in the lyrics and also everyone loves a good breakdown.

Q) “Never Enough” hits listeners with high octane sounds with some heartbreaking themes. How do you balance the sonic intensity and energy of the genre with more delicate subject matter?

A) I really like the juxtaposition of combining the two. I think they play into each other in a way that creates an engaging song.

Q) What have the fans been reaching out to you and saying about “Never Enough?”

A) We’ve had a really positive response on the single. The writing for this one leans into the more metalcore side of Archers and we were a little unsure about this song, wondering if it strayed too far from our poppy side or not so it’s been very encouraging hearing positive feedback from our fans.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do melodies come before lyrics?

A) We like to start with the instrumental and as we’re writing it we’ll start to develop some melody ideas which will lead to figuring out what makes sense lyrically to tell a story.

Q) How much of a hand does the band have in the production of your music?

A) We love coming up with different production ideas and playing around with little ear worms to help our songs become as memorable as possible.

Q) With the success of the new single and your current tour with Catch Your Breath, are there any plans for a new full EP?

A) Yes, and we can’t wait to share more of the new music we’ve been working on!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the near future?

A) I’d love to collaborate with Jacoby [Shaddix] from Papa Roach or Cody [Quistad] from Wage War. I love both of their voices and feel like they’d work really well in a song with our vocalists.

Q) What artists are you currently listening to and what about that caught your ear?

A) I just discovered The Callous Daoboys and have been listening to them a lot lately. They have this really cool nostalgic sound that manages to still feel modern and relevant.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of your work?

A) Thank you! I appreciate everyone who’s given our band a chance and supported us in any capacity. I get to have the best job in the world because people connect with my band.
