Ashlie Amber – Champagne Bubbles
By: Karen Steinberg
Q) Talk about what inspired your new single “Champagne Bubbles.” How did you approach writing this particular track?
A) My amazing partner is definitely the inspo. We’re about to hit three years together and when I met him, it was just instant—I couldn’t get enough of him. That feeling made me think of champagne bubbles, so I brought the idea into the session. Coming in with a concept and song vibe really helped Tom Pino, John Frank and Amanda Cooksey bring it to life.
Q) I have to ask, were there champagne bubbles when the song dropped? [wink]
A) There are always champagne bubbles with Bae! But I will say, I’ve definitely been on a champagne kick lately and have tried a ton of different brands. Surprisingly, Barefoot is crushing it—I wasn’t expecting that, but it’s really solid.
Q) The song is such a bop! What have responses to the track been from fans?
A) The fans have been absolutely loving it. Some have been playing it on repeat, tagging me in posts and quite a few have said it’s their favorite release of mine so far. It just makes me really happy to see how they vibe with everything I put out.
Q) This is your first female produced track. What was your experience like working with Justine Blazer?
A) Justine is an absolute boss. She’s crazy talented and knows exactly what she’s doing, but she’s also so humble and makes sure the final product is true to my vision. That takes a really special person, and I’m so grateful to be working with her.
Q) With “Champagne Bubbles” dropping, is this the prelude to a full album or EP coming soon?
A) “Champagne Bubbles” is definitely a prelude to my debut album. It’s all part of a cycle of releases that will eventually come together as my first full body of work.
Q) Are there any upcoming performances planned so fans have the chance to hear it live?
A )Yes! I’ll be releasing a performance schedule really soon with some shows at Whiskey Jam, The Listening Room, CMA Fest [wink] and a few other great performances this summer. Fans can stay tuned on my website, ashlieamber.com, or follow me on any of my socials for updates!
Q) More and more country-pop artists are blowing up. Who are some artists you would love to work with in the future?
A) I don’t even know how to truly answer this, but I would love to work with Dasha, Tanner Adell or Megan Moroney. I just think all of those women are absolutely incredible and I feel like a collab with any one of them would set the world on fire.
Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans of the beautiful music that you make?
A) First off, thank you! It means the world to me that people connect with the music I create. So, whether you’ve been here from the start or just found my music, I appreciate you more than you know!
