Bad Lucc – Off The Porch

Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Nostalgic, intelligent, fun, street.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My sister La Tanya Harden. She was the first rapper I’ve ever known. Then, Ice Cube and Beanie Sigel amongst of few others…..

Q) Your debut album is named Off The Porch. Where does the title come from?

A) It just means being out in the streets experiencing and seeing what comes with living in any urban environment.

Q) How did you and producer Problem team up for the album?

A) That’s been my brother for the past ten years or so. Also being my label mate, it only makes sense to keep it in house with him being as talented as he is in production.

Q) How much of a hand in the production did you have with Off The Porch?

A) A couple of skit ideas and 90% of the writing concepts, but other than that Problem and a small team of musicians like producer THX & keyboardist Ray Keys handled putting the sound where it should be.

Q) What is it about your track “Go” that made you select it as the first single?

A) It just feels good! Great energy, dope raps, big sound and it’s nostalgic. Can’t go against good chemistry!

Q) You have worked with a number of well known musicians. What artists would you most like to collaborate with in the future?

A) Ice Cube for sure. Beanie Sigel, Scarface, Jill Scott, & No.I.D. to name a few.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Bad Lucc performance?

A) Aggressive raps, high energy, big boy shit!

Q) You’re on social media.  Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Well, because that’s a direct line to the fans. Other than physically, what’s more direct than that? It’s important that they know that I care and love the love and support that they show for me and my crew.

Q) Is there anything else you really want to be sure fans know about Off The Porch and your music?

A) Off The Porch is just great music, written by someone who actually cares about the quality of the music that they are buying into. Where else are they going find real street shit and great stories over big sounds this day and age? RIGHT!!!
