Q) Where do we pick up from when “Faking It” returns and how have the dynamics between friendships changed?

A) We pick up with Amy just having betrayed Karma. Lauren and Amy are having a bonding moment. Shane and Lauren are fighting over Pablo. They all have secrets at the start of Season Two and you will see the suspense as each comes out.

Q) Can you talk about the two new additions of characters and how they will fit in?

A) Reagan is a hip older DJ who sweeps Amy off of her feet and Theo is the new cool kid in school who challenges Lauren and keeps her on her toes.

Q) Do you feel like after learning Lauren’s pill secret fans will understand more about why she acts and is a certain way?

A) Yes, I think it explains why she has her walls up and refuses to be vulnerable and why she overcompensates to try and be perfect.

Q) There have been some amazing guest stars announced like Laverne Cox and Fifth Harmony. What can you tease about their appearances?

A) Laverne Cox will be in an episode and she is FIERCE. She was such a pro, nice and so much fun. Fifth Harmony was great and we pretty much got a five star concert that day on set.

Q) In Season One, Shane and Lauren had this great adversarial relationship and then towards the middle they kind of become friends. Will they become closer in Season Two or will they return to their old ways?

A) They do become a little closer and have some moments where they really connect. But they still have that frenemy dynamic. They are very similar and sometimes there is only room for one!

Q) How does it feel going from being unsure there would be a Season Two to winning a TCA?

A) It’s very exciting to know that people are excited and enjoying the show!

Q) What do you think it is about the show that has created this massively loyal and passionate fanbase?

A) I think the show is really relatable, refreshingly current and extremely funny!

Q) How do you channel Lauren’s meanness? Do you draw inspiration from anyone?

A) She is walking PMS! I think Lauren isn’t mean, just to be mean…She is determined and ambitious and sometimes steps on people to get what she wants. So, I just focus on whatever her goal is and then go for it with the bite that she has.

Q) Do you think that Lauren really hates Amy? Is she just jealous of her or is there another motivation?

A) I don’t think she hates Amy. I think she is confused and doesn’t understand her. They are both really defensive.

Q) Is there anything else about Season Two that you would like to share with fans?

A) This season is jammed packed with suspense, drama and humor. Episodes four, six and eight are my favorite. You won’t want to miss them!
