Batwoman – Rebirth

Episode starts with a guy (Arpad Balogh) being chased to his car by someone in a mask with a sword until Batwoman (Javicia Leslie) shows up. The person in the cape escapes while Batwoman is trying to ask for help from the Batcave. She goes back to Wayne Tower and finds Luke (Camrus Johnson) on the roof who´s still dealing with surviving the shooting from Tavaroff (Jesse Hutch) . By the way, Tavaroff has just been released on bail. He is informed by the news that Roman (Peter Outerbridge) was just listening to while talking to Safiyah (Shivaani Ghai) who´s there to collect the favor he owes her when she provided Kate´s (Wallis Day) plane´s information.

Alice (Rachel Skarsten) and Jacob Kane (Dougray Scott) sort of take Kate still in Circe´s body while she insists they have her confused with a dead girl, but Jacob runs the DNA test and it matches which just confirms what they already knew – that Kate is alive. They get a little bit of help from Ocean (Nathan Owens) by bringing some of Kate´s stuff to see if they can bring back her memories that way. It kind of works at first, but it looks like she´s trying to get out of a room as Young Kate (Gracyn Shinyei). It´s more like a feeling she explains, but Alice takes her hands and finds her as young Beth (Ava Sleeth).

Batwoman goes following another lead to a government safe house with Mary´s (Nicole Kang) help because Luke had other business to attend to. She finds a body with a sword through it. She has another run in with the person from before and finds out that she´s Tatiana (Leah Gibson). Ryan and Mary are able to figure out that Circe is Roman´s daughter.

Luke goes looking for Tavaroff looking for some form of closure, but he gets into a poker game with him instead where we also find a familiar face from the Arrowverse – John Diggle (David Ramsey). However, Luke is interrupted by Ryan who asks him for help and is waiting for a thank you from him but it does not come. Luke tells her that he did not want to wake up at all. He just goes back to the game and wins a very large amount of money from Tavaroff. It does not end there because they meet at the back of the alley and get into a fight.

Jacob calls Mary to let her know that Kate is alive in Circe´s body and she tries to warn him that they have reason to believe Safiyah and Roman are connected. However it is of no use because he´s taken by Black Mask´s man to let him know that he already has the GCPD in his pocket. So, he has them arrested for helping Alice. Mary calls Ryan from the Batcave and lets her know what´s going on, but she has to slow down because she almost runs over a disoriented Kate. She takes her to Wayne Tower where she finds an excited Mary that goes for a hug, but she does not remember who she is. Then, Sophie (Meagan Tandy) walks in and it gets intense. Ryan asks her not to get too excited because there is a lot Kate doesn´t remembe,r but actually she manages to say Sophie´s name and they embrace. Although, it does not last as Circe is still fighting. They are trying to come up with some sort of thing to bargain to trade Alice because she could be helpful. Ryan says that she could give Safiyah the Desert Rose, which she takes and lets Alice go. But not before telling her that she wants more than she´s earned, which is code for having Ocean killed. Alice runs to the tunnels where she finds Tatiana and stabs her in the neck, killing her as well.

By the end of the episode Mary and Ryan send Luke Morse Code to get him back in the Batcave and tell him Kate is still alive. They go to see her but she´s already gone. They went back to Roman´s to ask if she´s Kate Kane and then stabs him on the hand. It seems like Safiyah will take advantage of it.
