Bexxie – Endless Nights

By: Karen Steinberg

Q) The music you spin is often labeled “house” or “EDM,” but how would you describe your sound?

A) I’d describe my sound as energetic house music inspired by the 90s rave music I grew up with. It’s nostalgic, uplifting, has euphoric melodies and driving basslines.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) My influences come straight from the 90s rave era like The Prodigy, Daft Punk and Praga Khan. That whole period shaped my taste and the way I think about energy, emotion and rhythm.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Endless Nights.”

A) I wrote this song to capture what my teenage raving days felt like. It’s about a moment in time you’re nostalgic for, something that you can never fully relive, but still carry with you.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think everyone has that “first time” feeling they look back on – a night, a person, a season of life. That mix of nostalgia and adrenaline is universal, and “Endless Nights” taps directly into that.

Q) Please walk us through your songwriting process.

A) Every song starts differently. Sometimes a melody or lyric gets stuck in my head, sometimes I stumble on a sample that sparks something. For “Endless Nights,” it started with the piano. Once I had that progression, the lyrics came quickly. I recorded the vocals and the whole track fell into place really naturally.

Q) How much of a hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I produce all of my own music from start to finish from writing and arranging to mixing. I love having full creative control and being able to bring my vision to life exactly the way I hear it.

Q) With “Endless Nights” out now, is this a prelude to a full album or EP?

A) Not an album or EP just yet, but definitely more singles on the way.

Q) What can fans expect from a live Bexxie performance?

A) My sets have a ravey 90s energy to them. Lots of movement, high energy and big emotional moments. I also like to sprinkle in my own edits and remixes to bring in familiar songs that people can sing along to.

Q) You’ve performed at some amazing venues! Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) New York will always be special to me because it’s the city I grew up raving in. Playing at Superior Ingredients recently was incredible. The crowd had so much energy and it reminded me why I fell in love with dance music in the first place.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Eli Brown. I love everything he makes – the energy, the sound design, the tension. A collab with him would be a dream!

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Honestly, I’ve been listening mostly to podcasts lately. I’m in a season where I’m creating so much music that I like giving my ears a break.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I’m just so grateful!. Every message, every stream, every show you come out to – it all means the world to me. Thank you for being on this journey with me! [smiles]
