BH90210 – The Table Read

The episode opens with a young Andrea (Gabrielle Carteris) walking into the Peach Pit. Brenda (Shannen Doherty), Kelly (Jennie Garth) and Donna (Tori Spelling) ask her to join them for ice cream, but she is there to see Brandon. Emily (Christine Elise) is there as well and the girls begin to bully her until she goes nuts. Gabrielle wakes up and realizes it was all a nightmare.

 

Christine and Gabrielle meet up for a drink and discuss the show, but Gabrielle wants to discuss something more personal. Gabrielle spills her drink and says she is having first date jitters. Christine didn’t realize it was a date, despite pinging her on a dating app. Gabrielle is about to leave when they both see the buzz for the show.

 

Shay (La La Anthony) and Brian (Brian Austin Green) are in the car when Shay realizes one of her songs was prematurely released. Zach (Ty Wood) gives them a drink when Shay says it has to be someone in the house behind the leak. Zach suggests it is the stylist, whom he saw in the studio that night. He thinks she may know something.

 

Jennie, Kyler (Karis Cameron) and Wyatt (Brendan Penny) are having breakfast and discussing the women’s acting. Wyatt announces that he is moving on because there are issues on “Empire.”

 

Tori and Jennie are discussing the show and Tori’s initial fake audition when Kyler walks in for her audition. It turns out Kyler can’t really act, but the final girl (Michelle Connor) proves to be a good fit for the role that Jennie had promised Kyler. Jennie doesn’t know what to do, so Tori reminds her she was promised a role, not a specific role. She explains that she could have been Kelly and it wouldn’t have gone over well.

 

Jennie tells Kyler about the other girl getting the role and she will play Donna’s daughter instead. Kyler surprisingly agrees this is a better idea. They walk over to the car and see Jennie’s tire is slashed.

 

Ian (Ian Ziering) is on set with Anna (Natalie Sharp) and discusses his issues with her attitude toward him. He mentions his TV mom and she calls him out on his attitude. They finally come to an agreement and tells Brian she loves him.

 

Shay calls Brian and says her stylist Joanna denies any wrongdoing when it came too leaking her song. She blames Zach and Brian defends him. Ian wonders why they don’t have security and Brian says he doesn’t want cameras in the house.

 

Everyone is gathered for the table read. Jason (Jason Priestley) and Jennie banter when Christine and several other execs walk in to get started.  The reading doesn’t go well, so Christine lets everyone but the cast leave so they can discuss the script. Nobody likes it and Kyler storms out when she realizes she is basically a glorified extra.

 

Ian is the only one okay with the script, only because he gets the best scenes. Christine wants them to get on with it. Gabrielle yells at Anna (Natalie Sharp) for being too young to know how to work.

 

Jason, Kyler, Wyatt and Jennie are in the elevator, all in bad moods and giving each other attitude. Once off, Jason offers Jennie advice about Kyler, but Jennie tells him he is irritating.

 

They all meet up to go over the script. Anna doesn’t like the ideas the casts offers and they don’t like her writing. She storms off and Christine tells them they are now stuck with the script they don’t like. She tells them to fix it or they will all get fired, sued and have no reboot.

 

Ian tries to talk to Anna, who tells them to write the script themselves and quits. However, Ian convinces her they can help each other. She continues to complain until he lets her use his car.

 

The cast is fighting over the script. Jennie is mad at Gabrielle and forgot she played her classmate, not her mom. Ian records everything and sends it to Anna.

 

Brian is upset over Tori getting rid of the sex scenes. The night goes on and Nate (Ivan Sergei) leaves, upsetting Tori.

 

Gabrielle admits her insecurities about being on the show and they admit they like her and helped each other. They all apologize and hug it out.

 

Shannen walks in and hugs everyone and helps with the script. She is told it will make her kill herself, unless the stalker gets to it first. Shannen freaks out and runs away. The girls find her meditating and end up joining her. Shannen says there is a lot of negative energy she doesn’t want.

 

Ian and Anna discuss the rewrite and he gives her more time to work.

 

Jennie tells Kyler she had a role on the show “Growing Pains” as Blonde Girl and says there will be more, bigger roles. Kyler admits she slashed the tire to keep Wyatt with them. Jennie thinks she will do just fine in show business.

 

Tori tells Brian her husband doesn’t want them having sex on the show. Nate ended up staying and talking to Shay, which makes Tori feel insecure, even though nothing happened and they planned to get the kids to have a play date.

 

Christine yells at Tori to fix things and tells her the only reason they got Shannen is because she demanded double the money of everyone else. The girls confront Shannen over this and Shannen says she wouldn’t hold it against them if the roles were reversed and when they got better things than her in the past. They all make up and decide to work on the script.

 

Tori is angrily cutting limes and ranting over the script changes and her husband. Brian tells her she is her own worst enemy and in a league of her own. He finally makes her feel better about herself.

 

Christine and Gabrielle talk about the script and how hard it is on everyone. Christine feels insecure about her work and they both commiserate over their job issues and where they are heading in their relationship. They finally attempt to kiss, but Gabrielle isn’t ready.

 

The gang confront Shannen over her bigger salary and she says her salary is going to charity. They tell her to keep her money and wonder how they got her on their side again. Gabrielle says she is that good.

 

Anna comes with her rewrite and they all work together to read it and agree they have a great script.

 

Shay tells Brian she hired a PI and discovered that Joanna was bribed to leak the song. She also had Zach investigated and found out he has a shrine to Brian, as well as his wallet.

 

Wyatt and Jennie discuss Kyler’s behavior and finally share an almost kiss….when he says he can’t get involved in a client. She asks him to get reassigned and have a new reason to stick around.

 

Christine and Gabrielle finally kiss.

 

Zach admits he is Brian’s son.

 

Ian asks Anna if she wants more help with scripts, but she says she is good. She also admits she misjudged him.

 

Everyone goes on set to see the Peach Pit is on fire with the message “stop acting like I’m not even here.”
