Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

A) “Ruthless,” “p-valley” on Starz, Tyler Perry’s “The Oval” and “Monogamy”

Q) Please tell the premise for the show “Ruthless.”

A) It’s about an infamous cult involved in drug trafficking, sex trafficking and anti-government. My character Andrew Whiteside is an undercover FBI agent who has infiltrated the cult. He must do anything to keep from having his cover blown.

Q) What made you want to be a part of the show?

A) Tyler Perry is a creative genius. It was more than an honor to be chosen to work with him. And I am grateful to be able to add to his legacy.

Q) How was your character Andrew originally described to you?

A) Andrew is a smart, strong black man. He is an FBI agent who wants to do what’s right. He’s risking his life so that he may be able to save hundreds of lives from the cult.

Q) What have you added to Andrew that wasn’t in his initial breakdown?

A) I wanted him to have layers of emotion, not just a serious FBI agent. Personal experiences are always added for levels when creating characters for me.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on this series?

No, I only knew Melissa Williams from LA meetings and previous auditions.

Q) Who were you excited to be sharing some scenes with?

A) Our entire cast is amazing. We all were bringing it for every scene because we wanted to make Tyler Perry and our audience proud.

Q) What have been some of your favorite episodes or scenes to film?

A) All the scenes when I had to do my own stunts…Like shooting the sniper rifle from the tower and driving the truck through the gate.

Q) What does it mean to you to be a part of a series created by Tyler Perry?

A) It means a lot to me. Tyler Perry is leading by example with his work and with creating his new studio. So, to have him as a boss, mentor and friend is beyond a blessing.

Q) What do you think it is about the series that has made it such a fan favorite?

A) There’s nothing like ruthless on TV right now. The story arc, dramatics, the acting and the originality keeps the viewers on their seats.

Q) You are a part of social media. What kind of fan feedback have you been receiving to the show?

A) The fans are so excited every week for new episodes of “Ruthless.” Everyone is trying to figure out if I’m really under cover as an FBI agent…Or has the cult gotten the best of me.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and your work?

A) I’m so blessed and honored to have you as supporters. And I promise to continue to make you proud. More movies and more blessings to come….Thank you and I LOVE YOU!!!!
