Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I think that the key elements in my music that should resonate with the listeners are my melodies, lyrics and the use of live instruments with electronic music. Usually, electronic dance music is very mechanical and repetitive, I want to bring something different, more melodic and emotional. I love synths and electronic sounds but when you combine them with live instruments and good melodies – perfection.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Wow, I have so many inspirations… Avicii, ILLENIUM, Martin Garrix, Coldplay, Bring Me the Horizon, Bad Omens, Hans Zimmer and many more.

Q) Your song “Explore the World” was a success in 2019. What made you decide to give it an upgrade?

A) This song holds such a special place in my heart. It means the world to me, especially because I created it with my amazing and talented sister. This is the first song I ever released, and I never expected it to be huge. The song started to take off only a year after I released it. People started using it on their Instagram videos and it went viral. I never thought that my debut song would go viral!

This song touches so many people and I am extremely grateful. It’s been a really cool thing to see the message in the song have such a profound impact on people. I was in such a strange place in life when this song came out. The success of this song gave me the inspiration to make another version with my sister and an official video.

Q) Where did the idea to feature your sister on the track stem from?

A) Three years ago, my sister traveled to the Philippines. I told her that I want to create a travel song and release it when she gets back home. She wrote the verse and sent it to me. I fell in love with it and wrote the chorus. When she came back home, we finished the vocals literally in thirty minutes. I produced, mixed and mastered the track and we released it at the end of 2019.

It was a pleasure working with her; the process was fun and happened naturally. I can’t wait to work with my sister on more songs in the future.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) The chorus and the fact that the song is about traveling. It talks about how we should embrace traveling and exploring places and how in the long run we will find our inner naked selves. In my opinion, traveling is one of the best things in the world and I think that a lot of people would agree.

Traveling and exploring places are among the best adventures one can ever take. The song states that “we should explore the world and create memories in our own way, we should not waste our time since we only live once.” These words hit deep into the heart of every traveler.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) My sister and I travel a lot. Nature inspires us and brings us peace of mind, so we decided to create an official video for the song. The video captures our adventures around the world, and it shows exactly what exploring the world is all about. By the way, one of my best friends (David) is a professional videographer, so he helped to film the video.

Q) What is your songwriting process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) 99% of the time I start with the melody. I improvise on the piano until I found a good melody and chord progression. Then I start producing and adding synths, guitars, violins, cellos, rhythms, and stuff. I always collaborate with other singers because unfortunately, I can’t sing, my voice is terrible… So, I find amazing singers on social media or on music platforms.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I produce, mix and master everything by myself. Sometimes I write the lyrics and sometimes the singer I work with writes the lyrics.

Q) Is there a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Not soon. I just released my debut EP called The Strange Kids two months ago. I really want to release another EP for sure. So much love, fear, excitement, frustration, confusion and happiness shaped my debut EP. The whole process sort of mentally guided me in a healthier direction when I needed it. I’ve learned a lot about myself and about growth while making it.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) Honestly, my wish list is huge, so I’ll give you just seven artists… I wish I could work with Coldplay, Onerepublic, Ed Sheeran, Adelle, The Script, Tori Kelly or Dermot Kennedy. I love them so much; each artist has a piece in my heart.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media is extremely important for every artist. Honestly, I hate being bothered with it, but it’s a great tool to make more fans and spread my music.

I can connect easily with my listeners and share my projects and my personal life. It takes a lot of time to build a fanbase and I believe that every artist should be very active on social media.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you to every person who streams my songs. Words will never be able to describe how grateful I am. Knowing so many of you are connecting with my music has given me a lot of belief in myself and in my musical journey.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your lovely words and huge support. I read all the beautiful things you write about my songs, and I’m overflowing with happiness. Your videos, messages, the thoughts you share, your stories and the massive compliments…I keep everything with me.
