Q) What are the recent projects that you are working on?

 

A) I’m not currently working on anything, but I’m always auditioning, which I love to do. Descendants 3 just premiered, which is my favorite movie in the franchise. I have another movie coming out Sept 10th called Adventures of Dally & Spanky. It’s a great family movie! Another indie film I did last year, The Never List, will be coming out this year, too.

 

Q) Where do we pick up with Jane in the latest installment of Descendants? 

 

A) You’ll continue to see Jane’s confidence grow and she even gets in on the action a little, which was fun. Also, you’ll see some cute moments between Jane and Carlos (Cameron Boyce).

 

Q) What continues to challenge you about your portrayal of Jane?

 

A) I really loved Jane’s storyline. Like so many others, I was able to relate to Jane’s journey. She went from not having enough confidence and thinking she had to look and act a certain way to be accepted by others to realizing that what’s most important is being able to accept and love yourself, just as you are.

 

Q) Going into this film, were you hoping to have a scene with anyone in particular?

 

A) I just loved being a part of it, so I was always happy with my scenes. My scenes with Cameron were always so much fun and I will always cherish those times.

 

Q) What was one of your favorite moments during filming? 

 

A) Actually, my favorite moments were during rehearsals. It’s just such a special time. We rehearsed for four weeks and it was an amazing bonding experience.

 

Q) What do you think it is about the Descendants movies that make them so special?

 

A) I think fans can relate to each character, in some way. I can’t tell you how many times a fan has told me that our stories have helped them get through a difficult time and that means so much to me.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Are you looking forward to the fans have to say about this latest film?

 

A) Yes! I know the fans are going to love Descendants 3 just as much as they love the first two movies, so I can’t wait to hear what they have to say!!

 

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of the work you do?

 

A) I’m so grateful to everyone who supports me by offering kind and encouraging words. My supporters mean the world to me. I couldn’t do what I love if it wasn’t for them!
