Q) Please tell us the premise for Night Night.

A) After waking up from a horrific car accident my character, April Davis, must find a way to survive a traumatic recovery.

Q) How was your character April originally described to you?

A) April was described as an independent, strong woman.

Q) What was it about the role or the film that drew you to wanting to be a part of it?

A) I was on the edge of my seat while reading the script of Night Night. Just when I thought I knew what was going to happen I’d turn the page and be surprised at what the actual outcome was.

Q) Was there anything you added to April that wasn’t in that initial breakdown of her?

A) When I first read the script, I definitely pictured April having a tough personality, but I have found that it’s important to add some vulnerability to a character. April experiences a lot of intense moments throughout the movie, so I found that I needed to add layers of different emotions to humanize her and make it real for myself and for the audience.

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on this film?

A) No, but as soon as met my costars we clicked – on and off the set. They are all talented and kind; such a great group of people!

Q) What is the difference in having a fellow actress stepping into the role of director?

A) Niki Koss is definitely an actor’s director. Instead of just telling us what emotions to feel or how to say our lines, she would sit with us and ask specific questions to organically get us to the place she felt we needed to be for a scene. I hope to work with Niki again soon!

Q) This is such an intense horror/thriller. What were some of your more difficult scenes to film?

A) I did a few small stunts for the first time and learning the choreography was challenging, but I really enjoyed the process.

Q) With such dark material, how did you shake off a long day of shooting?

A) Shooting a movie like this can definitely take its toll, so after set I would listen to music and take a hot bath to decompress.

Q) What do you think it is about Night Night that’s going to make it a timeless terrifying movie to watch?

A) I think Niki Koss’s stylistic choices are so creative and not what you’d expect in most thrillers which makes it stand out.

Q) What are the other recent projects that you have been busy working on?

A) Over the summer I was a part of two horror short films, which were super fun to film and I got the opportunity to write a song for one of them. I, also, released a couple songs recently and plan to release more in the new year.

Q) You’ve been a part of a number of iconic Disney projects. What did these experiences mean to you?

A) Being a part of Disney’s Descendants franchise changed my life. It was the first job I ever booked and working with Kenny Ortega and everyone who was a part of it was amazing. I will forever be grateful for the experience and cherish the memories.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way to keep in touch with fans?

A) My supporters are a huge reason why I work. I love staying connected to them because I constantly want to let them know I’m so appreciative of them. A lot of them have stuck with me through many, many years and always support me. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. Career-wise and personally.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I love you. Thank you for being the absolute best and for always putting a smile on my face. I’m so grateful for each and every one of you.
