The episode starts with Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) telling the team that a bomb was just found on a bus in Downtown Brooklyn. Of course, the most excited person is Jake (Andy Samberg) as he sees it as a Speed situation, something Holt doesn´t understand because he´s never seen the movie. Boyle (Joe Lo Truglio) can´t believe this. Anyway, they are in the middle of gearing up and going to the bomb´s location but it´s already been defused. They still go because the bomber´s still on the loose. They meet Amy (Melissa Fumero) and Terry (Terry Crews) there. Terry tells Jake that it wasn´t an MTA bus as it was a “Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” tour bus. Jake is still going but he´s stopped by Special Agent Feingold (LaMonica Garrett) from the FBI taking over the case. Holt just confirms that they have jurisdiction. However, Jake won´t let it go that easy though.

Back at the precinct Terry welcomes Scully (Joel McKinnon Miller) as it is their favorite time of year: Cagney and Lacey´s annual School candy drive and he already duplicated his order from last year. But Scully tells Terry there´s someone else and his taste in candy changed. It turns out the other man selling candy is Charles. In another room of the precinct O´Sullivan (John C. McGinley) interrupts Amy about her pilot program. She reminds him that its aim is to reduce instances in which armed cops are needlessly interacting with civilians. He doesn´t see it that way. He tells her if she doesn´t change the program she´s going to be very sorry.

At Shaw´s Jake is telling Rosa (Stephanie Beatriz) that he lost a Speed. She says it sucks but at least he didn´t have a Sister Act taken from him, Jake insists that the bomber wanted the bomb to go off at midnight, so he runs to the crime scene. Amy calls him and says Holt is going to be pissed about it, but Jake tells her that Marzipan (Jacob Berger) gave him the lot´s address. This leads her to tells him that he´s actually a bad dude and they are desperately trying to fire him. Jake runs into someone he thinks is a suspect and goes after him. Jake arrests him, but when he arrives at the precinct Holt tells him that the feds already solved the case and the guy he arrested didn´t do it.

Holt talks to Jake as the guy he arrested was in processing for ten hours which made him late for work and got him fired. He´s suing him and the department for wrongful arrest. That´s when O´Sullivan walks in and says that he can make the whole thing disappear. Jake says he just had an epiphany and that he´s been set up by O´Sullivan. Amy wouldn’t put it past him since he´s wants to kill her program. Jake has an idea to bring someone from the outside to make an investigation – Diaz. So, Amy takes him for drinks to get him to confess while Rosa is listening from the bathroom, but there´s a problem. O´Sullivan is not even drunk and Amy is hammered. So, her and Rosa switch places since they figure he can’t tell them apart. Back at the precinct Boyle and Terry are still fighting over selling candy to Scully; however, every new order they give him is empty. Meanwhile, Jake tells Holt he found proof he´s being set up.

Rosa and Amy are trying to outdrink O´Sullivan but it´s impossible. So, when they confront him about Jake he says he´s not blackmailing him. He just broke the vending machine from the precinct and messed with the candy deliveries. They are trying to reach Jake because he´s most likely tailing the victim, so they pedal to him. Amy tells him that he´s not being set up. Jake made a mistake and he´s talking to Holt when they are interrupted by O´Sullivan again. This time he has someone else with him, Mel Jenkins (A.J. Tannen) an attorney that handles tort claims. This basically just means getting Jake out without trouble which makes Holt huffy. By the end Jake admits to making a mistake and he has to be suspended for five months.
