We are excited to announce that Camouflage, an independent film that tackles the weighty topics including bullying, gun control and mental health, will release worldwide on Nov. 25, 2014 after making its debut at the Open Wound Film Festival as part of Santa Fe Comic Con in October.

Camouflage, starring Kyle T. Cowan (WGN America’s Manhattan), Amrita Acharia (Game of Thrones), Jimmy Bennett, (Star Trek), Lew Temple (The Walking Dead), Drew Van Acker (Pretty Little Liars), Adriana Marie, Rodney Eastman (A Nightmare on Elm Street 3&4), Jesse Henderson (MTV’s Finding Carter), and Kadan Rockett (Dark Skies), is set to release for free onwww.vimeo.com/projectstudios505 as part of a charity movement. The film explores the motivation behind a school shooting, and is a social movement piece geared towards opening people’s eyes to the many issuessurrounding the recent onslaught of gun violence including mental health, gay and lesbian equality, bullying, and gun control.

In exchange for the free ticket price viewers have been asked to donate to a mental health, gay and lesbian, gun control, or anti-bullying charity of their choice. Viewers will make their donation in the name of “Camouflage Movie”. Viewers will be able to comment below the video to state what charity they donated to and how much they gave. The filmmakers are requesting that viewers make videos to challenge their friends to watch the film, donate, and post a video of their own. Fans will be able to tweet @KyleTCowan if they need a recommendation of a charity to donate to and he will be happy to recommend a reputable foundation.

The film was financed via Kickstarter just over a year ago. The script garnered the attention of many reputable actors who worked on the film for almost nothing. The film was shot in just thirteen short days in the Los Angeles area.

I have had people tweet me about the movie from all over the world including places like Sudan, Mexico, Argentina and Ethiopia. Our message is universal, and I think fans all over the world deserve the opportunity to see this film.
