Camryn – Glow

Q) What has the fan reaction been to latest song “Glow?”

 

A) The reaction has been absolutely incredible! My fans mean so much to me and to see such a positive response is indescribable. It’s more than I could have ever hoped for. I’m happy to see everyone glowing!

 

Q) What is it about the song that fans are connecting to?

 

A) “Glow” is a feel good song and I think the glow is really contagious. Everyone loves to feel the glow and excitement that comes with love, a new job or something that excites you and this song brings that glow out of you. It’s an escape to your happy place that makes you want to dance.

 

Q) How does the video play into the message of the song?

 

A) The video concept wasn’t really a concept because it’s what me and my friends actually love to do. It’s a place where we can camp and all be together while riding around in the dunes! What’s not to love? Pismo Beach is one of my favorite places to go and when I’m there I feel like nothing else matters. No stress, just fun! It’s one of my happy places and I wanted to share that with everyone. It plays nicely with the song because enjoying the moment and feeling the glow of happiness with the people you care about is really what my song is about.

 

Q) The song has already gotten one million Spotify streams. How does that make you feel?

 

A) This is still so crazy for me to think about! I can’t even begin to explain the gratitude I feel for this. I have never had a response like this and I honestly wasn’t expecting it. I am thrilled to share my music with people and it’s amazing to see the response!

 

Q) Talk about working with producer The Monarch and co-writer HARLCE.

 

A) They are such kind and wonderful people to work with! I was a little intimidated to get in the studio with such talented artists, but they made me feel right at home. The chemistry was amazing and we ended up creating something very special. I’m so thankful to have met them and gotten the chance to make great music. Can’t wait to make some more!

 

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

 

A) Performing is my favorite part about being a singer and being on stage is where I am meant to be. My shows are always full of energy and my favorite shows to perform are when the crowd has just as much energy as me. I think my favorite shows have been when I was in Portugal. Those crowds were so full of energy it was the most fun I have ever had on stage. Watching everyone jump and dance to the music makes me feel alive!

 

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

 

A) I would love to collaborate with Hayley Williams! Her voice is amazing and I look up to her as an artist and performer. She is incredibly talented.

 

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

 

A) Currently, I am listening to Melanie Martinez’s album Cry Baby. I listen to this album around Halloween time because her lyrics and music set the tone for the upcoming month. They are kind of eerie and Halloween like! I am obsessed with this album and when it first came out I had it on replay for months. A great album is one that can replayed multiple times and no matter how many times you listen to it you still want to hear it again.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

 

A) Social media is really the only effective way to communicate with fans because it allows you to talk to people that live across the globe and you can talk to a lot of different people at once. When I like an artist I like going to their social media to find out what they are like outside of their music. It’s a great way to share my personal life with my fans as well as being able to talk to them and see their personal lives.

 

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

 

A) I would like to say thank you! I am so grateful for all of you and I’m so excited to continue sharing new music and performing more! There is so much more to come!
