Charles Duckworth – Taking His Shot

Q.  What are the current projects that you are working on?

A.  The most current project that I’ve worked on was “Veronica Mars” on UPN, I had a guest starring role on that, that was pretty fun.  I am waiting forAmerican Gun to be released, which is a film that was done by Lions Gate I believe. 

Q.  What can you tell us about American Gun and your role as Connie?

A.  American Gun is going to be a really raw and honest piece of film.  Connie is somewhat of a comic relief in the film, he can share a couple of laughs with the audience and this and that.  Overall, it’s a pretty heavy piece and it’s going to be a great film.

Q.  What made you want to be a part of this project?

A.  Just reading the script, the script was amazing.  As soon as I read the script I knew I wanted to be a part of it.

Q.  How was it working with a cast of very well known and amazing actors?

A.  The cast was crazy, as far as Donald Sutherland and Forest Whitaker, I didn’t really have too many scenes with Forest Whitaker, just being on the set with such huge names was exciting.

Q.  Do you have a most memorable moment from filming?

A.  Actually, we shot the movie in like an inner city neighborhood in Chicago, which was real cool and really fun.  All the little kids, just the way that they reacted to the whole film making process, to see the smiles on their face, it was awesome.  It was definitely my highlight from shooting.

Q.  Why should viewers take the time to check out this movie?

A.  It’s going to be something that is definitely new and raw, it’s just a great piece of film.  There are several great messages behind it, you get to see a lot of interaction between the characters; you get to see love, hate, and animosity.  It’s reality, and there is not too much of it out there, so go check it out.

Q.  You’ll be playing Kelvin on an upcoming episode of “Veronica Mars.”  Is there any information you  can give us about the episode and your character?

A.  I would say I play a high school student and there is a lot of hijinx going around the high school.  Veronica Mars is going to get to the bottom of the information, get to the bottom of the story and see what’s going on.

Q.  What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

A.  In my spare time I’m polishing up my acting skills and I’m producing music.

Q.  Is there a summer movie that you’re really interested in checking out?

A.  I still haven’t seen War of the Worlds, I want to check out War of the Worlds.  I have heard tons of good stuff about it so I want to check it out.
