Coryn – America’s Next Top Model
Q) Who is your favorite designer?
A) I love Roberto Cavalli. I love his shoes, coats and everything. I love his style.
Q) Why did you decide to apply for the show?
A) I always wanted to be a model, but it is hard to get your foot in the door because a lot of modeling agencies want to take your money, give you school lessons and not really help you out finding jobs or anything. It was a chance for me to get my foot in the door and see where things went.
Q) What was your audition like?
A) I went to the casting call at Mall of America in Minnesota. It was long! I went there in the morning and ended up staying until 2am when the Mall kicked us out. It was a long process and a lot of stuff we had to go through.
Q) What was it like meeting Tyra Banks?
A) It was amazing! Whenever I see her I’m still star struck. I love Tyra. She was my idol since I was little and even now when I see her my heart starts to beat really fast and my words get messed up.
Q) Did you watch any of the previous seasons of the show and if so, what did you learn from them?
A) No, not really. I didn’t watch any shows from the previous year. When I came home, if it was on, I would watch it. Other than that, I wasn’t a big fan.
Q) Why do you think the judges chose Nik over you?
A) I knew they were going to choose Nik over me. She’s had gorgeous photos ever since the first photo shoot. I really couldn’t get my problems to go away in time. I felt like I knew I was going to leave and I felt like she should stay.
Q) Did you leave a note for anyone when you left? If so, who for and what did it say?
A) I left a note for all of the girls saying that I’m happy that I’m eliminated and not to worry about me. I said to give it your all and the time will be over soon so do the best that you can. We were all pretty much tired and exhausted at that point and stressed out. Most of us just wanted to go home. When it’s over with you just kick yourself in the butt and think that you wish you would have done more and better.
Q) How did you feel getting to meet Iman?
A) She was amazing! I wish we would have had more one on one time with her. When you are in front of somebody, all of the questions that you would ask normally just go away. Now that I am thinking about the questions I wish I had asked about the modeling industry just so I would have information on it.
Q) Do you think you came off as melancholy as the judges had stated?
A) I didn’t think I did. I was trying to see it, but I knew that I was feeling sad. I didn’t really think that it came off that way. I tried to ask other people if I look as sad as the judges said and they said no. I guess it’s different for each person. Me, personally, I haven’t witnesses what they were saying.
Q) At the end of the show, we saw you get a group hug that Lisa was a part of. Have you mended things with her?
A) We can talk now, but her personality still clashes with mine. She just always wants to be better than the other person so our personality sort of clashed there. I think that everybody is equal and she thinks she is higher than everybody. That kind of gets on my nerves, but we can talk now without fighting.
Q) The judges mentioned you having an athletic look. Is that something that has continued in your appearance?
A) I actually gained my weight back. I was losing weight so I think that’s why you could see my muscles more. Now I’ve gained more weight and my arms aren’t that defined anymore. I am not big, but I got the weight that I needed back.
Q) Have you maintained your new look?
A) I have maintained my new look. I took out the weave though and I’ve maintained the blonde hair. I still have the smaller eyebrows, but the eyebrows are a little bit darker so you can see them. It looked like I had a big forehead there so I had to make them a little bit darker, but everything else is pretty much the same.
Q) What did you like about living in the house?
A) I loved the house! The house was nice. I never got to stay in a house like that before. It was amazing and it took my breath away! I wasn’t the type to hang out with other girls because I am more of a tomboy so it was really nice too. It was nice to hang out with some females and get to know one another.
Q) Was the rift between Jayla and Nik as big a deal as it was made out to be?
A) No, not really. I don’t think it was. Yeah, she did steal her thing, but Nik didn’t say anything about it and she’s not going to. That’s Nik, she’s going to pretend like everything is ok all of the time. That kind of got on my nerves, too, and I’m sure it did for the other girls. She was pretending to be someone else and she acted fake to me.
Q) What are you going to do now that you are no longer on the show?
A) I’m going to keep on modeling. I was waiting until I was eliminated so I could go out and do my thing. I am really excited about that! I am wondering where it is going to take me in the future so I hope that it will take me far!
Q) Who are you going to keep in touch with from the show?
A) I plan on keeping in contact with Bre, Diane and Sarah. I’ll probably keep in touch with Kyle and Nik because we always talked. I move around a lot so my number is always changing. Hopefully, they can keep up with me.
Q) What is your most memorable moment from being on the show?
A) My most memorable moment is probably the Life & Style party where we had to do the runway show. We got to meet Nate Dogg and that was probably the most memorable day. The whole party after was crazy and fun, especially in the limo!
Q) Who do you think will win?
A) I want Bre to win because I love Bre. She’s really humble with everything that people do for her. She’s a really good person and I think she needs this. This will just make her life a lot better for her, her mom and her brothers. I really hope she wins!
Q) What would you like to say to your fans and supporters?
A) I love you guys so much! I’m so thankful for you guys! I’ve never had any kind of support like this before. It’s so amazing and it’s unbelievable. I really never thought I was going to get anywhere like this and it’s really a dream come true. I just want to say thank you to everybody.
