Q. What are the current projects that you are working on?
A. Basically, I am at home with baby and I did a film for the Wayans Brothers, they have a project called Featherbrook and I was one of the characters, it’s a cartoon for kids.
Q. What can you tell us about the film and the character you play?
A. I play the main character’s little sister and basically she’s like the best friend, she likes to tag along. It’s a cute, cute story about not getting caught up in fashions out there, it’s all about you, it’s not about what you wear, it’s about you. So, that’s what the storyline is about!
Q. “The Parkers” wrapped in May last year, how was it saying goodbye to a character that you’ve played for a long time?
A. I played the character for ten years, you have to keep it moving, even though it was a sad situation we formed a family together, a family life together, you have to keep it going.
Q. Previously you’ve released a music album, any chance you’ll try your hand at that again?
A. Definitely, definitely. Like I said, I’m a full time mom so I’m just getting to feel like I can leave the nest now so that one of the projects that I am working on right now.
Q. How has being a mother changed your life?
A. Tremendously I mean, he has taught me how to truly know what love is, he’s my everything, he is truly my everything. I love him for it, that’s my baby!
Q. Do you keep in contact with any of your former “Moesha” co-stars?
A. Of course yes I talked to Lamont when he was alive, yeah, before the accident. He was very talented.
Q. With Featherbrook you’re working behind the camera, but you’ve obviously done a lot of work in front of the camera. Is there a preference with working in front or behind the camera?
A. I just prefer to be working period, you know, whatever it is. I love to direct, I love to do all of that. I’m not just sitting at home being mommy, I’m producing, I’m writing scripts.
Q. Is there a summer movie that you’re really interested in checking out?
A. I would say Bewitched, I want to see how they did that, how creative they did that.
Q. Do you have a latest obsession, are you into any particular music artists, book or activity?
A. My latest obsession, it’s been my obsession for about a while now, I play SIMS as much as possible. They’re computer simulated people, I play for about four or five hours if I don’t have my son. If my son allows me some time off I just am at home on the computer, I play for a couple of hours.
Q. What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?
A. I’m a homebody, I’m not the type that really likes to roam the streets.
Q. Is there anything that you’d like to say to fans and supporters of your career?
A. I just want to say thank you for supporting me for the past ten years, I’m coming out with a new flavor for you. Don’t think that I’ve left Hollywood and I’m just done with it, I’m just taking a bit of time off for me. I’m definitely coming back to make you laugh, it’s going to be even funnier!
