Q) Please tell us the premise for “The Night Agent.”

A) “The Night Agent” is a show about Peter Sutherland (Gabriel Basso), a low-level FBI agent who works in the basement of the White House manning a phone that never rings – until the night it does, propelling him into a conspiracy that leads to the Oval Office.

Q) How was your character Cisco originally described to you?

A) In the original character description, all I was told was that Cisco was a Maryland State Trooper that graduated Quantico with Peter and that the two of them had a long history together and a close friendship.

Q) What was it about the show or the character that made you want to be a part of “The Night Agent?”

A) For me, they had me at the name “Cisco Jenkins.” [laughs] He sounded cool as hell.

I’m always looking to play new characters that are departures from the ones that I’ve played before, and this was perfect because I’ve always wanted to play an officer or an FBI type.

I also typically stay away from stereotypes and so playing a character named “Cisco” was the best kind of representation I was looking for, breaking new frontiers. [laughs]

Q) Were you familiar with any of your costars before working with them on this?

A) Yes – I’ve been a fan of Fola Evans-Akingbola and D.B. Woodside for years!

Q) Each episode is so action-packed and edge of your seat watching. What were some of your favorite scenes or episodes to film?

A) I enjoyed doing the house sweeps. I had the pleasure of spending some time with my new friend, Odie Gallop who was our S.W.A.T. Consultant on the show and it was kind of a dream to come true learning how to move like a highly trained officer.

That and I loved doing all of the driving scenes. I love action movies, especially ones that involve car chases and so shooting all of the car bits in downtown Vancouver was another dream come true for me.

Q) With such adrenaline-fueled scene work, how did you shake off a long day of shooting?

A) Great question! For me, it’s usually a nice – delicious meal with some wine and as many relaxing massages (that my bank account could afford [laughs]).

Q) You are a part of social media and I’m sure you’re already receiving tons of wonderful feedback to the show. What have they been reaching out to share with you?

A) It’s been quite overwhelming, to say the least, but in the best of ways. I’ve been getting a lot of messages from people saying how much they loved Cisco and how they wanted more of him. I don’t think any of us on the show anticipated how big this series was going to be and how fast it would catch on with the world and so it’s been heartwarming to see people from all over the world share their love for the show with us.

I’m just happy to see that my character resonated with people. It feels good knowing that I was successful in doing what I set out to do, in terms of taking a “smaller character” and making him memorable while serving the story.

Q) What do you think it is about “The Night Agent” that’s going to make it such a fast fan favorite action series?

A) For starters, it’s a really good-looking show and there are some great actors on this season. It’s also highly addictive and it checks off so many boxes for fans across different genres.

Anyone who is into political thrillers will be able to appreciate the fact that this is fresh in its own way but there are times when it also feels nostalgic to some of the other classic fan favorites in the same genre.

Also, all of the action scenes in this series are fantastic. They feel gritty and real and there are tons of nail-biting twists and turns in the story – perfect for anyone who’s looking for an adrenaline rush.

Q) What are the other projects that you have been busy working on?

A) I’ve been busy working on my first feature film as a producer with my production company, SOON Films. I hope to be able to share it with the world by next year. I’m also very excited for the world to see Season 4 of “Creepshow” that I’m featured in as well as “Hudson & Rex,” both set to be released later this year.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the work you do?

A) I have some great fans out there and I’d just like to say that I love you and I appreciate you all.

Thank you for all the love and support over the years. It never goes unnoticed and it means the world to me!

Love and Gratitude.
