Daniel Skye – All I Want

Q) How would you describe your sound?

 

A) Pop, soulful, and honest

 

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

 

A) Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift, early Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran and others.

 

Q) What made you choose “All I Want” to release?

 

A) I wrote “All I Want” about a girl that I met at a MeetN’Greet  for one of my shows, but I never got her name and I never saw her again. Hopefully, we will cross paths again soon.

 

Q) What is your song writing process like?

 

A) Each song has been a different process. The music and vocal melody usually come first.

 

Q) What kind of influence do you have with the production of your music?

 

A) It’s usually different every time depending on what’s inspiring me on that specific day.

 

Q) You have a great contest going now for fans to sing “All I Want.” What kind of responses have you been getting?

 

A) The reaction has been great so far and I got so many funny and creative response videos to the song. Love watching them!

 

Q) How did you come to work with Cameron Dallas for the video of “All I Want?”

 

A) Cameron had just recorded his first song “Bad” which sounded great. And around that time we still were looking for a feature for “All I Want.” He heard the song and really loved it! So, we ended up going in the studio to record it and he did an awesome job

 

Q) What can fans expect from a live Daniel Skye performance?

 

A) Each show is different. I play my original songs and add a few interesting covers as well. My favorite song to perform is my new single that just came out called “All I Want.” Either during “All I Want” or “Maybe” I love bringing a fan on stage and singing to them.

 

Q) What can fans do to help promote your music?

 

A) Share it with their friends! Definitely tweet about it, post about it and buy my new song on iTunes. Anything helps! None of this would be possible without them.

 

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

 

A) I would say maybe Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran or Sam Smith.

 

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

 

A) Social media has been an awesome tool because it allows me to have direct access and interaction with my fans. Tweeting to them and posting pictures on Instagram is always the easiest and fastest way to connect with them. It’s really important to me to hear their opinion on my new music or things that I’m doing because without them and their support I wouldn’t be where I am.

 

Q) You’ve done some great covers for your YouTube channel. How do you select the songs you’ll perform?

 

A) I’m focusing more on creating new original music at the moment, but I generally pick the songs I’m passionate about to cover.

 

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your music?

 

A) To anyone who has bought my song on iTunes or watched my videos or vines etc., I would say thank you so much. Your support is what got me here and what made me into the artist I am today. I love you all and can’t wait to meet everyone!
