Q) How would you best describe your sound?

A) American Rock n Roll. Simple and to the point.

Q) Who are your Top 3 musical influences?

A) Well, the range is quite all over:  Bob Dylan, Grateful Dead and Guns n Roses yet my sound is nothing of any of the above. The list can go on forever. [winks]

Q) Tell us the story behind your latest single “Lose Somebody.”

A) It’s the story that we all live and learn to understand. Heartbreak, loss and self-reflection. We all face the same fall out in life, so it is easy for me express this in an authentic way.

Q) You also shot a music video for “Lose Somebody.” How did you come up with the concept for the music video?

A) I leave the initial concept to the director and try to allow him to create without stepping on him. He presented it. I was unsure but over the years have learned to trust and try things out of my comfort zone. I don’t see myself as an actor, so it takes a good director to get out of me what they have as a vision.

Q) What were some of your favorite moments in making the music video?

A) I love to work out, so I enjoyed twelve hours of boxing. [laughs] But I love the ability to be someone else for the day.

Q) “Lose Somebody” is part of your solo project. Why did you decide it was time to create music apart from your band, The Disparrows?

A) The Disparrows has done great work over the last ten years. The band is always figuring what is next and, while we have sometime apart in different countries, I figured I would release some solo music. I am always creating and writing and do not like to keep stuff buried. I need the outlet so out it went!

Q) Since the release of the single, what has been the overall reactions and comments from fans and listeners to the song?

A) I have been completely blown away. I’m just a musician releasing a solo song for the first time and the hundreds of thousands of views and comments, likes from every part of the world has been beyond what I expected.

Q) With the release of “Lose Somebody” is there a full-length album in the works and, if so, when can fans look forward to its release?

A) The next two tracks are about done. By years end the entire album will be finished and released. Trying for a music video for every song on the album.

Q) As you have been working on your own music, are there any plans in the works for new music from The Disparrows?

A) I think The Disparrows is at the point where we are for life now. After ten years you just don’t’ stop. I believe in Oct/Nov we will start with some shows and recording new music.

Q) Aside from performing, you also run Suncity Media and Entertainment Private Limited. How does running your own company help you with your music career and vice versa?

A) I am a strong believer that music, fitness and business all go hand in hand. When I create music, I’m more relaxed and more creative all around. When I am running my companies and close new deals, I am able to be more creative in structuring deals and I think it’s due to the musically creative section of my brain. And working out daily keeps everything balanced and moving at full steam ahead. I have analyzed this for a long time. When one of the three elements is off, everything is off.

Q) On your YouTube channel, I absolutely loved finding your series “Stories of Hope with Daniel Weber.” I also loved the message of hope behind the series. What inspired you to start it and do you have any plans to continue the series in the future?

A) I’m so flattered to hear this. This was the most organic thing I have ever created. The second wave of the pandemic had a huge effect on me, as I was in India all around was hardship, struggle, death and depression. I decided to start this daily Live show to find people to connect with others that can help each other and within communities. I thought it would be nice to hear what people are doing to get through this and help one another. Times like this, when the health care system was on the verge of collapse, we saw the greatest moments of humanity. We rediscovered that humans are capable of being selfless. I listened to people offer to assist and help with food, oxygen, beds, cars for transport to hospitals, money, medicine, talking to others to help with depression and so many other amazing acts that we sometimes forget take place. India had an especially difficult second wave (delta Variant) and this was the individuals’ moment to rise up and shine and so many did. I had to hear, share and connect them to the world.

Q) What do you hope fans take away from your music?

A) That we all go through the same pain – heartbreak, loss and self-reflection. And that they connect and share with others.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the music that you make?

A) Thank you listening, and the best is yet to come!!!!
