Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) To be completely honest, I’m so new to music I’m still trying to figure that out! I just write what comes out of me right now, and it usually has a country-rock vibe with a soulful twist!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Artists like Norah Jones, Chris Stapleton, Haley Reinhart, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Shania Twain and Joan Jett are huge inspirations to me.

Q) What is the story behind your debut single “Push Our Luck?” Was it based on a special experience?

A) I wrote “Push Our Luck” about those first-time feelings of being out on a date with someone you really like while also having a curfew. It’s definitely from personal experience. I pushed my luck with my parents and curfew because I was having so much fun with a boy. I think we’ve all been there!

Q) With the “Push Our Luck” video what kind of story do you want to tell with it?

A) I truly wanted the music video to paint a vivid story, and to feel young and juvenile. I thought of places/locations that would coincide with the lyrics of the song to really convey the emotion of the song.

A) “Push Our Luck” was co-written by Maggie McClure and Shane Henry, aka The Imaginaries. What made you decide to collaborate with them on this song?

A) I had written the song last summer, but because I’m so new to writing and recording, the song needed some incredible musicians to help me fully finish it! Maggie and Shane are also such good friends, so it’s such a blast working with them!

Q) You previously all worked together on the soundtrack for A Cowgirl’s Song (on the song “Just Breathe”). How would you describe that experience?

A) Such a wonderful experience. That was my first movie, and to be able to write a song for the soundtrack was an amazing opportunity for me to grow into songwriting.

Q) With “Push Our Luck” out, will fans be able to expect a full album or EP in the near future?

A) An album is absolutely the goal! I’m not a hundred percent positive about when it’ll happen, but fans can definitely expect more music soon!

Q) Are you planning on taking your music on tour?

A) Yes! Again, I’m just like any other 19-year-old right now. I’m trying to figure out my next steps, but I’ll hopefully tour later this year if not next!

Q) You got your start as a ventriloquist on “America’s Got Talent.” How has performing music solo differed from your experience as a ventriloquist?

A) It’s fairly different performing as a ventriloquist and then as a solo artist. They both bring such different skill sets to the table, yet I love them both the same.

Q) What were some of the challenges of switching from ventriloquism to music?

A) Although my ventriloquism isn’t going anywhere, exploring music has been a challenge. There’s so much to songwriting/releasing music that I didn’t realize. When performing solo, I’m connecting to the audience in a different way. It’s so cool.

Q) You recently were on “America’s Got Talent: Fantasy League.” What made you decide to return to the show for a third time?

A) I returned to “AGT” because I wanted to show everyone that I could hold my own as a solo artist, and to show them there are more facets to me besides ventriloquism.

Q) Are there any plans to return to “AGT” as a singer (sans puppets)?

A) As of right now, there are no plans to return to “AGT” as a singer, but you never know!

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of you and the incredible talents you possess?

A)  I would like to say thank you for coming so far on this journey with me. I’m learning it’s okay to step out of your lane, and I hope you’ll continue to learn with me!
