Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) It’s whenever I feel when write. I’m a fan of all music genres. I think it will become more evident how diverse and genre-less my music is as I release it. That being said I’d call it, “mash-emotion.”

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) I’m like the easiest person in the world to inspire. Then again, music and what inspires me often comes unannounced or completely unexpected. Recently it’s been about my daughter, wife and trying to make sense of me and life. The struggle of starting over and being scared about results and living.

Q) How did your initial connection to dance help play a role in you becoming a musician?

A) It was my way of attaching myself to music itself. It became my instrument, therapy and means to escape or make sense of everything.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Stay or Walk Away.”

A) The song came in an instant. Most of it was freestyling over this loop and then we (producer) arranged the track and locked/fixed lyrics and boom a perfect reflection of something I was going through expressed.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think the track is hard and I feel the song is what I like to call organized chaos. But the lyrics are relatable. Who doesn’t struggle with not knowing what’s on the other side or if ones good enough etc.?

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I feel there’s a few moments that make the viewer relate about “staying or walking away” (not just in relationships) but in general with everything you do when it comes to living and better your dreams and conditions.

Q) What is your song writing process?

A) I don’t really have a process for the most part. Writing and producing or arrangement to finding cool sounds or a beat are all completely different things. I just try to always record my ideas no matter what and once I start and sit down with whoever I’m working with I have something.

Q) Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Not always but that often works really good, and I would say I mostly write that way. A vibe is always a good starting place.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) It depends on who I’m working with. I usually let whoever I’m working with do their thing. I don’t consider myself musically talented, but I know what I like and want for the most part. But the more others I’m working with can shine and be creative the better. At the end of the day, I want it to be the best it can be.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I hope to be able to release full albums, but now I’m starting from scratch and just want to flood the world with music as much and often as I can. But that’s the goal eventually.

Q) With concerts having been on hold, what have you missed most about being on stage?

A) Touring and being on stage is like the ultimate reward. I miss seeing the song evolve to something bigger with the fans making it their own.  And in reverse, the fans see and experience what and how I see/feel the songs live. Nothing better or rewarding then people singing your songs.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I’ve never performed my solo music and am so excited to do that!!! It’s one of things I’m looking most forward and working hard to make it happen.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) My wife and other musicians, Tyler the creator or Doja Cat.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I haven’t been listening to anyone in particular, but I’ve been just putting playlists in shuffle and riding with it.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) I suck at social media and always have but I’m trying to be better. I recently got myself a Facebook Twitter and TikTok. Truth is I’d rather be writing or with my family then spend my time or life for social media, but I know I’m losing out by not being active on it. But it is what it is. At the end of the day, I gotta do what’s right for me and what makes me happy instead of the pressure of creating hype and fame. If it’s meant to be it’ll be regardless. I love writing songs creating videos and touring for the fans, the inactivity on social media is a bonus 😂

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Appreciate the love and support! Can’t wait to meet you all and hope we can all sing dance cry and laugh to my songs one day.
