The episode starts with Sara (Caity Lotz), Mick (Dominic Purcell), Spooner (Lisseth Chavez) and Astra (Olivia Swann) following a lead that Rory´s pursuit of a beamer, which takes them to what looks like an auto parts place. They find a pod with a puzzle box inside; however, some of the Legends get impatient and start messing with it. Sara tells Ava (Jes Macallan) through coms that they will be awhile before they come back. Ava says there´s no rush as it she seems to be trying on wedding dresses when Gary (Adam Tsekhman) comes in and absolutely scares her. The Legends messing with the box lands them on a bowling alley. Spooner confirms mayor alien vibes coming from it. But when Astra tries to get out of it through the front door, there´s nothing but space there.

Sara goes to find if the bowling alley´s owner named Buddy (Alvin Sanders) knows something and asks how they can go back to Earth. Spooner asks for a ride from someone named Mike the Strike (Nic Bishop) whom has one condition, one game and they will help. But first they have to beat his team: The Pin Killers, which includes Merv the Curve (Michael McIntyre) and Clare the Spare (Emily Bandel), some sort of aliens that steal planets of course.

Back at the Waverider Behrad (Shayan Sobhian) is baking some brownies while Constantine (Matt Ryan) walks in and tries to help but his powers are off the charts. He asks about Zari (Tala Ashe), but she´s back in the totem so Original Zari can spend some time with Nate (Nick Zano) outdoors as they only have 24 hours before she has to go back. They ran into another couple, Jeff (Gavin Langelo) and Jamie (Jenna Romanin), camping next to them. By the looks of it they are a bit much, especially because they are trying to figure out of their relationship is worth keeping with the little time they actually get to spend together. They hear on the radio that the world is ending, which makes everything even more complicated.

John insists to Behrad that they should be helping the team since they haven´t heard from them in a while. Gideon (Amy Louise Pemberton) is having trouble locking on to Earth. Gary hears it and tries to keep it from Ava to not trigger her. While the team is trying to train so they can compete, Sara is a natural of course. Mick is not able to grab the ball very well. Spooner has some weird technique before even grabbing it. She is also a great player. Astra does not bowl, so she´s out for the moment. All this is happening and Gary´s getting into Ava´s head about her wedding dress choice so they take a little more time fixing it. Also, in the Waverider John will cast a spell to compel the ship to Earth.

Gary finally tells Ava that he was trying to distract her from Sara´s whereabouts, so she goes to the bowling alley but can not enter without an invitation. She spies Sara from the outside though and Ava tells her that Earth must be there per John´s spell. The team now has got a lot more to lose, which is how it starts at first because…Well, they are not very good at bowling. Eventually, they manage to get past their fighting and Spooner´s jammed fingers. Astra has to step up and follows Sara´s speech about losing to themselves and not the other team. So, thanks to a little bit of help from Zari, the team can actually win. That is if Astra makes a strike, which she does and they recover Earth.
