Q) You are back with the new infectious single “Strangers.” What was it about your teenage years that inspired it?

 

A) “Strangers” is about being in a serious relationship when you’re young, and seeing it fall apart when you thought that was the person you would be with forever. It feels really devastating at the time, but in the end it comes full circle…That’s why I included the chant section at the end, to show that even when it’s really hard it actually all does turn out beautiful somehow.

 

Q) “Strangers” was included in your recently released mixtape Leading up to the release of the mixtape you also released a three-part cinematic video trilogy. Act 1 has already reached over a million views with Act 2 & 3 not far behind! How does that make you feel? 

 

A) The trilogy is about evolution and finding your power… it’s really epic and has a lot of layered meanings. I’m looking forward to more of the world seeing it.

 

Q) What do you hope fans take away from this single?

 

A) My hope with writing really vulnerable songs like “Strangers” is that people feel comforted and less alone.

 

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

 

A) I actually just dropped it! It’s called SAPPHIRE.

 

Q) As venues have started opening back up for live performances, what do you look forward to the most with getting back in front of a live audience?

 

A) Connecting with my fans in person is always the best part.

 

Q) Thinking back on a chaotic last year, what album or song was featured on your “Getting Through the Pandemic” playlist?

 

A) Aurora’s “A Different Kind of Human” Album has been my favorite during the Pandemic.

 

Q) What would you like to say to the fans who have followed your success, and the new fans who are already queuing up for your next release?

 

A) Thank you so much for your love and support, you help me be brave and I’m so grateful for that. I hope you love SAPPHIRE.
