Enterprise Earth – The Chosen

Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) Honestly, I’m not even sure anymore, and I mean that in the best way possible. We pull from so many different influences and try to put them all on display when the time is right. We sound like Enterprise Earth, I guess!

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) All over the place. Everything from Pantera to Stevie Ray Vaughan to Bach and more.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Unleash Hell.” What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think it combines some elements of older EE but brings in the melody and groove we’ve incorporated over the past couple albums.

Q) What made you decide to release the guitar playthrough for the song?

A) It’s the hardest song on guitar from “The Chosen.” It literally does not let up at all.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) Tony Simone did a great job on the stream video. A cavernous cave church vibe really resonated with the song.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) It usually starts with a riff or rhythmic idea and then develops from there. I have little to no control over what happens; I’m just giving the song what it needs. Sometimes lyrics can come before the music.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I produce, mix and master everything. So, I guess just a little hand in the production. [winks]

Q) Your full-length album The Chosen is out now and you’re out on tour. What songs from the album have you been enjoying playing live?

A) “Unleash Hell” and “Overpass.” They’re two songs we’ve highly anticipated performing.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Seattle, Denver, Texas. The crowds are always insane.

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Loops! They’re the best, that’s all that needs to be said.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) It seems like it’s the only way to connect these days. Everyone relies on socials for news and updates. It’s integral to the band and business.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) THANK YOU. You have no idea how much it means.
