Famous In Love – Reality Bites Back

The episode begins with a love making scene between Paige (Bella Thorne) and Rainer’s (Carter Jenkins) characters. As soon as “cut” is yelled, Rainer and Paige assume their normal personalities and Rainer apologizes if his hands were too cold. The director comes over to thank them and tell them to take a break. Paige takes this opportunity to talk to Rainer about the “Back Splash” reunion concluding that she is inspired to be charitable. Rainer invites her to his charity event that night, but Paige tells him she can’t go due to a screen test of Martin Scorsese’s new film. Rainer fills with excitement and tells her it is good to still see the girl from Portland still excited about being in Hollywood. The director comes back and they continue their scene.

 

Alexis (Niki Koss) partakes in a photo shoot for her new Alexalicious app per Ida (Vanessa Williams) before Sloane (Sofia Carson) arrives. Alexis tells Ida she is done for the day before Ida asks the crew members to keep the set hot. When they leave, Alexis tells Sloane she has a set not a home now. Sloane hugs her and they catch up.

 

Jordan (Keith Powers) does his own photoshoot to keep his image up for his self-funded Oscar race. Nina (Perrey Reeves) arrives to warn Jordan not to go up against the Gold Brothers studio and that his competitors may dig up more skeletons his closet.

 

Alexis and Sloane catch up as Alexis tells her about how awful her life is at the moment. Sloane tells her that she is sure that she will smooth things over at Rainer’s party that night. Alexis unknowing of the party gets the details from Sloane and is hurt that she wasn’t invited. Ida over hears about the party and tries to convince Alexis to attend and to take her cameras. Ida’s plan ultimately works as she persuades Alexis to talk to Rainer.

 

Alexis shoots her last scene on Locked before the director yells “cut.” Everyone instantly gets up and walks away before Alexis has the chance to talk to Rainer. The directors calls a wrap on Alexis for the movie, but no one claps except for the director leaving Alexis to feel just how much damage she really has done.

 

Alexis tracks down Rainer and tells him he is hurt that he didn’t invite her to his charity event. Rainer tells her that no one wants her there and that is why he didn’t invite her. Alexis sincerely apologizes to Rainer and tells him if she could take it back she would. They seem to make up and Rainer tells her she can go but no cameras allowed. She tries to push for her cameras explaining that it will help her shows ratings, but he quickly shuts it down. She agrees not to bring cameras.

 

Paige continues her hard work training for her new movie with her trainer. They take five and Paige can’t seem to tear herself away from her phone. Her trainer asks what is going on with Jake (Charlie DePew) and she explains that there are still more boxes to unpack, but Jake has still not showed up. Her trainer tells her that she can use all her pent up rage and channel it into her character.

 

Jake looks at his missed messages from Paige and continues to dodge her. He pulls himself together and shoots a scene of his movie being blown away by Billy’s (Claudia Lee) performance. He receives another text and Billy asks him what has been bugging him and Jake tells her about Paige. Billy gives him advice to go over to the house and support Paige, but Jake does not take it.

 

Back at the Bixby hotel Marisol (Janis Valdez) tries to get in to see Jordan, but the front desk won’t allow it. Jordan arrives behind her and she hands him the card that the kids made to thank him for their beach day. Jordan tells her to say thank you to them. He invites her to the charity event, but she is hesitant to accept. He assures her everything with Tangey (Pepi Sonuga) is over with and it’s not a date as it is just a night with a good cause. Marisol finally agrees to go.

 

Nina and Steve (Rob Estes) have dinner and he tells her not to talk about business. They speak about their children and Nina tells Steve about how Rainer still hates him. She tells Steve that she is planning on crashing his charity event and invites him along. Steve tells Nina that she is not going to crash and needs to respect his boundaries.

 

Paige arrives at Jake’s and confronts him. He apologizes and tells her they have been busy shooting all day. He gets a call and quickly steps aside. Paige sees Billy in costume and tells her she looks great. Jake’s phone call gets a little heated before he hangs up to tell Billy and Paige that their investor for the film has dropped out due to Paige not being in the movie any more.

 

Jake and Paige unpack boxes and continue to bicker about Jake’s film. Jake begins to leave before Paige sees the invitation for Rainer’s charity event and asks Jake if he will go.  She explains that there may be some producers there that will invest in the movie. Jake asks if Billy can go. With some question from Paige, she says yes. They both apologize to each other and embrace in a sweet hug.

 

Jordan gets ready for Rainer’s charity event when there is a knock on the door. He opens the door to reveal a reporter that begins to question him about his past while recording the conversation on his phone. Jordan tries to get him to go away before Marisol arrives. When she arrives Jordan takes her back into his room. Marisol asks him what that is all about. Jordan tells her that there is a public Jordan and a private Jordan and he is giving her the private one for the night.

 

Rainer and Harper (Danielle Campbell) finish last minute party details before he notices there is an open bar in his house. He asks Harper if that is a good idea with the two of them just being out of rehab. She tells him that they have to have it and she believes in him not to drink. Rainer leaves in frustration to go surf.

 

Everyone begins to arrive at the event and Alexis shows up with not only Sloane but her cameras as well. Rainer tells her no, but Alexis points to Harper and tells Rainer that she told her yes. Alexis then leaves with her cameras and Sloane. Rainer turns to Harper and asks her what is going on. She tells him that the campaign needs the publicity.

 

Rainer finds Paige and they have a sweet conversation before he tells her to have fun. Rainer continues to enjoy the party before Harper tells him that they should divide amongst the party and talk to different investors. Sloane takes this opportunity to approach Rainer and try to seduce him. When he doesn’t bite she tells Rainer that Harper goes through phases and to enjoy the eco warrior one while it lasts. She leaves Rainer with questions about his new girlfriend.

 

Alexis goes through Rainer’s personal belongings as Rainer watches on from the group he is trying to get to invest in the charity. Meanwhile, Billy brings drinks to Jake and Paige and tells them she found a producer that is willing to hear their pitch.

 

Marisol and Jordan arrive, and she asks if she looks ok. She is blown away by the fancy atmosphere of the party. Jordan assures her that she looks great. Alexis comes up to Jordan and tries to apologize, but he just takes Marisol and moves away from her. Rainer realizes that Jordan is at the party and looks at Harper asking her what she is trying to do him.

 

Rainer and Harper go into a room and Harper tries to explain herself. Rainer just begins to yell at her. Outside the room Alexis is watching with her cameras and commenting. She asks Sloane if she is watching, but Sloane is too busy texting away. Alexis asks her who she is texting and she tells her that it is Tangey who is not coming due to Alexis being there.

 

Jake, Billy and Paige meet with the producer who is interested in hearing their pitch only to find out he really is a piece of work that is only trying to party with them. He ends up pressuring Paige into drinking many shots of tequila. Rainer and Harper try to rally the party to watch their new PSA on their charity. Rainer is caught off guard when everyone in the party are uninterested in the PSA and continue to talk amongst themselves. Rainer, seeing red, observes Jordan and approaches him and goes off about pretending to be his friend. Jordan accuses him of talking to a reporter about him. Rainer gets fed up with everything and leaves. When he is leaving the party he sees Paige sitting outside completely drunk. He helps her up and offers to take her home. Alexis’ cameras and Sloane capture this moment.

 

Marisol and Jordan drive home and she tells Jordan that she knows that he comes from an abusive background. She explains that whenever he is ready to talk about it she will listen.

 

Back at the party the jerk producer is now wasted and hitting on Billy while Jake and Paige are not there. He tries to take her back to a hotel before Billy jumps up from her seat. Jake comes back to get in the middle of her and the producer. The producer tells him that they are not getting a cent of his money before he leaves. Jake and Billy leave the party and Jake yells at Alexis on his way out. Alexis and Sloane begin to leave at Alexis’ demand, but Sloane tells her in front of the cameras that Tangey texted and she is going to go hang out with her instead. Alexis is hurt once again and tells her cameras to turn off.

 

On the way out Sloane runs into Harper who thanks her for coming. She tells her to say hello to her father for her. Sloane tells her she will. Before she leaves she tells Harper that Rainer left with Paige.

 

The episode finishes with Nina and Steve confiding in each other and kissing. Rainer brings Paige home and gets her some aspirin as she babbles. Rainer takes her shoes off and helps her get settled on the couch. He tells her goodnight and Paige gets him to stay the evening.
