Famous In Love – The Goodbye Boy

Things are starting to heat and shake up in the world of “Famous in Love.” Our episode starts out with a damsel in distress running for her life. As the camera closes in we see it is Cassie (Georgie Flores). Her scene cuts and she gets some advice from her director before a co star comes over. She makes conversation, but he quickly cuts her off asking her what number on the call sheet she is. Cassie tells him number seventeen but soon realizing that he is having a full conversation with her breasts. He tells her he doesn’t need to know her name, but he is sure it is pretty. He then walks away leaving Cassie.

 

Rainer (Carter Jenkins) knocks on the bathroom of a puking Paige (Bella Thorne) who is feeling the side effects from drinking tequila all night long. She opens the door to reveal she is not looking so great.  Rainer tries to help her out offering her a hung over remedy. But just by the sound of Rainer’s remedy, Paige closes the door to vomit once again.

 

Jake (Charlie DePew) and Adam (Tom Maden) smoke as Jake tells him about how his night went at the party with the slim bag producer. He confesses that he is stressed out over his movie. Adam offers Jake some advice on his movie and Jake suddenly perks up with joy. Cassie enters the house looking defeated as Adam asks her how her first day on her film went. Cassie tells them about the lead of the movie and what he did to he,r but she says it is ok because she is almost done. Jake tells Cassie he is going to submit their film as a short to other festivals with Paige still as the lead. Cassie tells Jake that Paige is going to be thrilled and asks what time they left the party. It soon comes apparent that Jake has no idea how Paige got home and what time she left. Both in a panic, Cassie calls Paige. With no answer they get more anxious and decide to drive to Paige’s house.

 

Nina (Perrey Reeves) and Steve (Rob Estes) take a meditation class before Nina can’t handle sitting still and decides to leave the class. Steve chases her on the way out and Nina apologizes. She confides in him about her struggles with Rainer before Steve apologizes and offers to buy her a smoothie.

 

Jordan (Keith Powers) and Marisol (Janis Valdez) sit in bed at his hotel while Marisol comments on how nice it is. Jordan thanks her for making him feel better about himself. The moment is interrupted when another reporter calls Jordan’s phone questioning him about his past. Jordan hangs up quickly.

 

Cassie and Jake arrive at Paige’s house to find her door unlocked. They enter concerned as Jake calls for Paige. He is surprised when Rainer answers his call telling them that Paige is upstairs. Jake asks angrily why Rainer is in Paige’s house. Rainer tells Jake to calm down and explains that he took her home because she was passed out in his courtyard. Paige comes downstairs to explain what happened and berates Jake about missing her screen test. Jake apologizes, but Paige is livid when she finds out that last night was for nothing when Jake tells her that the producer is not going to fund the film. Jake leaves.

 

Steve and Nina enjoy and smoothie before he gives Nina a manuscript and tells her he would love her opinion on it for his daughter. Nina agrees.

 

Rainer arrives home to Harper (Danielle Campbell) who is angry that she could not get a hold of him. She accuses him of sleeping with Paige. Rainer defends himself telling her that Paige is just a friend that needed him. He continues to tell Harper that he is upset about the way that she acted at the party and he is not sure they are ok. Before he walks off he tells her that she should go back to her own place.

 

Jordan and Marisol get ready for the day when Marisol asks him what he is doing. He tells her that he is going to shoot his last scene of Locked and then taking a red eye out to New York for “Good Morning America.” He continues that they are probably going to ask him about the affair rather then his movie and Oscar race. Jordan begins to have a panic attack and Marisol is quick to calm him down. Jordan tells her that he feels like the paparazzi and reporters are closing in on his past. Marisol tells him to own his truth, but he tells her that she does not understand that he can go to jail and lose his career.

 

Paige whines about her decisions the previous night as Cassie takes care of her. Paige asks Cassie why they both came over. Cassie lets it slip that Jake wants to release their film into a short with her footage. Paige feels instant regret for fighting with Jake. Paige goes on to ask if she can come by Cassie’s set today. Cassie tells her no because of her being killed in her scene that night but counters if she can crash at her house. Paige tells her yes.

 

Nina and Steve sit in her office as she tells Steve the manuscript is amazing. Nina tries to squeak her way into producing the film and sticking Rainer in one of the parts. Steve is hesitant and tries to tell her no. Steve tells her he just wanted her honest opinion. Nina gives in and tells him it is great and definitely going to be Oscar worthy. He thanks he and they kiss before he leaves. He asks her to dinner, but she lies and tells him that Rainer invited her to the Locked wrap party.

 

Jordan, Paige and Rainer shoot their last scene on Locked. Between takes Rainer asks her how she is doing. She replies she is not doing so well with her hang over. Paige tells the boys that she heard the makeup team yelling at each other earlier. Jordan tells her that since it’s the last day people get weird. On a movie people spend so much time together and become family before it abruptly comes to a stop. Rainer takes these words to heart inviting Paige and surprisingly Jordan to the wrap party that night.

 

Rainer walks back to his trailer to find Harper sitting on his steps. She tells him that she wants to explain herself. She tells Rainer that she put her goals over him for her charity and she is sorry. Rainer tells her that it was all for nothing being that their guests drank too much to give money. Harper tells him that they actually made over a million dollars. They hug in celebration.

 

Paige arrives on Jake’s film set to see that he is stilling filming scenes for their film with Billy. Confusion over takes her. Jake and Paige begin to fight again before Billy leaves. Jake tells her that the film is better with Billy and he got to fix everything he did in the beginning. Paige becomes incredibly hurt and through tears tells Jake that she wasn’t worth waiting one more day for.

 

Paige drives to set and cries in her car before she gets out of her car. A tour guide scares her. He proceeds to tell her how much he is going to miss her and spout details about her life that becomes concerning for Paige at the end of the conversation. He soon walks away and leaves Paige a little frightened.

 

Cassie shoots her scenes and starts to learn that the lead actor is harassing her. In retaliation she slams the car door into his groin. When she gets out of the car the lead actor yells at her for hurting him. Cassie yells back in her defense before the director runs over to tell her that her off script acting was inspiring and amazing.  He tells she is going to live to die another day. Cassie turns back to tell the lead actor her name and to get used to it because they will be working for a while together.

 

At the wrap party Paige and Adam talk about the end of things and he gives her some sage advice about starting over. Paige spots Rainer and they share a moment before Harper comes into the picture and ruins it.

 

Back at Jake’s he sits with Billy who tells him that if he decides to with Paige she is ok with it. She tells him to sit on it and really think about it. She will be ok with whatever he decides.

 

At the party Nina arrives and greets Rainer. He invites her to sit while he gets up on stage and starts a speech.  He tells the cast and crew that they got him through the rough times and he is grateful for all of it. He ends his speech telling everyone that he is leaving Hollywood and this is a wrap on his acting career. Everyone is shocked and silence falls over everyone. Paige tells Rainer he feels like this is goodbye but he assures her that he will still see her. He kisses her on the cheek leaving Harper to look on. Nina takes that time to tell Harper that she knows what is best for her son.

 

At the end of the party Rainer gives his car away to a hard working man that works for the studio and has always been good to him. Harper begins to panic and tell Rainer that he is not ok. Rainer tells her he has never been better.

 

Paige arrives home to her alarm telling her that her back door is open. Frightened, she checks out the door.

 

Nina sits in her office and makes a phone call. She calls her assistant to contact the author of the manuscript Steve gave to her to read. It becomes apparent she is trying to steal it out from under Steve.

 

In the morning, Harper tells Rainer that she thinks that he shouldn’t quit acting. He assures her that he is doing the right thing and is excited about jumping into their charity.

 

Jake edits together his movie keeping Billy as the lead before sending it off. Cassie arrives home to find a new call sheet with her name higher on the list.

 

The episode ends with Jordan’s interview with “Good Morning America.” He is firmly pressed about his affair with Nina. After trying to redirect the conversation back to his movie he decides to take Marisol’s advice and reveal the truth about himself and his past leaving Rainer, Marisol and Nina speechless as they watch.
