Famous in Love – The Kids Aren’t Alright

In the land of betrayal nothing goes right. Rainer (Carter Jenkins) pulls another all-nighter looking up a garbage island on his laptop as Harper (Danielle Campbell) tries to talk to him about what happened with Jordan (Keith Powers) and his mother, but Rainer is in no mood to re hash what has happened. He channels his inner struggles into helping free the ocean of garbage. Harper convinces him to speak about his cause at his backsplash reunion.

 

Alexis (Niki Koss) arrives on set to grab a coconut water as Rainer ignores Jordan’s pleas to talk to him. They say a few words before Rainer walks away. Alexis sits in her dressing room trying to get a hold of Tangey (Pepi Sonuga) before she has to get dressed. As her wardrobe person helps her into her fat suit she shares the knowledge that all of Alexis friends are avoiding her with good cause. She offers advice of acting like her character from backsplash.

 

At Pablo Money’s studio, Tangey and Pablo (Romeo Miller) start collaborating on music and dance around their undeniable chemistry. Tangey’s phone keeps ringing with Alexis on the other line. Pablo gives her the advice to block her due to the excessive drama that she keeps causing. In the midst of his advice, they think up a new song title that gets Tangey to work.

 

Back at Pagie’s (Bella Thorne) new home Cassie (Georgie Flores) asks her how it is going there without Jake (Charlie DePew). Paige said that since their indie movie has fallen through he has just been acting weird. Cassie tells Paige that he has a lot going on right now. In an attempt to help out Jake the girls track down the waitress from the diner that they have been trying to find for a while. Cassie and Paige make a plan to visit the girl at her new job that night.

 

Jordan sits at set and gathers advice from his agent after the backlash of his affair with Nina (Perrey Reeves). Jordan tells his agent that he doesn’t want to attend the backsplash reunion due to being grilled about the affair.  He fights some more with his agent before his agent asks him if something else happened that he should know about. Jordan denies anything else happening and tells his agent to fix things before he storms off.

 

Nina walks into her office, but can barely get there without her assistant giving her all the news about tabloids wanting to get an answer out of her. He finishes by telling her that Gold Brothers is looking to not renew her contract and push her out of the studio. Nina tells him that she needs to make it look like she is leaving the studio. She asks her assistant where she is at with other offers and continues to plan a come back.

 

Alexis is summed to hair and make up in her fat suit. It only takes a matter of seconds before she overhears crew members gossiping about her.  Her insecurities send her running back into her trailer to pull a classic diva behavior.

 

Cassie and Jake continue to audition people for their indie, but no one is sparking their interest. Cassie offers for Jake to move in with her and her boyfriend, but Jake is still hesitant to put her out. He gets a text from Paige that tells him to meet her at the studio and dress up for a surprise. He is confused but intrigued as Cassie plays dumb about what really is going on.

 

Back in the music studio Tangey and Pablo continue to collaborate on music before Alexis continues to lash out and cause more drama on social media dragging Pablo’s name into the mix. Pablo tries to leave but Tangey tells him that she can let the drama get to her or she can channel it into the music.

 

Nina is informed of Alexis diva situation. Nina pounds on Alexis trailer and threatens her to come out. Alexis makes demands before Nina cuts the power to her trailer and tries to lure her out.

 

Jake enters Paige’s trailer all dressed up as told to do so by Paige. They talk about their plans for the night and Paige continues to remain tight lipped. She tells Jake she is running behind a bit due to drama from Alexis. He is not surprised. Paige takes off to shoot her scene and Jake stays behind with his looming insecurities.

 

Tangey pulls up to set and gets grilled by Jordan instantly about what she said on Alexis’s show. Jordan yells at her further about the murder her committed and is scared that it will be dug up with all this attention around him. Tangey assures Jordan that no one is going to find out.

 

Alexis sweats it out in her trailer from Nina cutting the power on her. She finally gives into crying and confiding in Nina for her actions. Nina tells her that if she could show up to work with everything going on with her that Alexis can do the same. Alexis comes out of her trailer and proceeds to set. As soon as she arrives she tries to apologize to everyone else but they ignore her and disburse.

 

At Paige’s surprise, she and Jake enjoy a magic show that is starting to aggravate and annoy Jake. He tries to leave, but Paige convinces him to stay. She asks him about Rainer and he begins to get defensive before he realizes that Paige brought him there to see the actress from the diner that he was trying to get for his movie.

 

After the show the girl gives Paige and Jake the third degree for getting her fired once again. Paige convinces her to forgive them and asks her to join their indie movie as the lead role. She excitingly agrees before runs off. Jake apologizes to Paige for the way he acted and they make up.

 

Nina arrive on set to the back splash reunion and meet an old friend who quickly brushes her off for more important people.

 

Paige arrives at Cassies and brings dinner with her favorite candy to celebrate her getting cast in a big movie. Cassie tells her she is the best and she loves her as they share an adorable best friend moment.

 

At the backsplash reunion things get a heated up as the in real life fights from Jordan and Rainer and Tangey and Alexis show up on screen when the interviewer asks questions.  Alexis hops off screen to wheel and deal with an old friend in order to stay in the limelight.

 

Back at the hotel Jake continues to take notes from his new lead actress Billy (Claudia Lee). With some minor resistance, Jake begins to like Billy more and is impressed when she spouts her knowledge of film history and compares it to her feedback for the movie.

 

Back at the backsplash reunion Alexis’s bribe to play an old scene from their series works in her favor. As the scene unfolds it shows just how close the characters were and how good of friends they were back in the day. When the scene is over Tangey and Alexis seem to make up before an audience member shouts at Joradn what it was like for him to have an affair with Nina. Jordan says he can’t comment but Rainer says that he will comment. After a dramatic pause Rainer tells his costars that they need to take responsibility for their own actions. He then spins the horrific scene into a plug for his charity to clean the oceans from garbage. When he is done he leaves set.

 

Paige and Cassie meet Billy and Jake at the hotel and listen to the rewrite that Billy has written. Billy acts out the scene and gets a little to close for comfort with Jake before Cassie makes an outburst to stop the scene.

 

Tangey and Alexis sit backstage as Tangey yells at Alexis for what she did. Tangey tells her that the clip she got to show doesn’t change anything. She finishes with an insult before leaving behind Alexis.

 

A sad Paige complains to Cassie about how Billy is changing everything in the movie. She continues to spout complaints until the bartender comes over to give her an expensive bottle of alcohol, telling her that he was given instructions to give it to her and a note.  When she reads the note all it says is from your number one fan. Cassie and Paige look at each other confused.

 

Jordan is insisting on talking to Rainer intercepts Rainer and Harper as they are leaving the backsplash reunion. Harper stops him and tells him that Rainer will talk to him when he is ready but she will take care of him for right now.

 

The episode ends with Nina making a new deal with and old friend and Tangey making Jordan jealous by heading to her room with Pablo.
