Famous in Love – The Players

Welcome back to lies, love, and the spotlight to go with it. This is Hollywood and “Famous In Love.”

 

We return to the beach of Los Angeles where Paige Townsen (Bella Thorne) sports a new hairdo and makes out with a mystery guy. Cassandra (Georgie Flores) walks up the beach holding a gun. With the pleas from Paige not to shoot, she shoots both her and the mystery guy. Jake (Charlie Depew) yells “cut” and we realize that it is Jake’s new independent film that he is directing. Paige takes a selfie of the both of them and goes to post when Jake asks her if she is sure she wants to put that out on the internet. She tells him that it is ok and he replies that they are solid and nothing will mess them up. She posts the photo on her social media and it blows up not for the best.

 

We cut to rehab where we see Rainer Devon (Carter Jenkins) lotion up his new rehab buddy. Before things can get to heated up he is interrupted by an employee for a random drug test. Nina (Perrey Reeves) tries to force her way into the rehab to talk with her son but Rainer requests that he doesn’t want to see her.

 

Paige, Jake and Cass all talk in a diner booth before a waitress comes over to give them their order. She comments on Cass’s commercial and leaves. They observe the waitress and peg her as an actress before Paige’s phone continues to blow up with hate from her posted picture. Cass and Jake talk her out of a funk and toast on their movie Stealing Georgia.

 

Rainer speaks to his father about returning to the set of locked. Rainer makes it clear that he is right where he wants to be in rehab and if something happens to the movie that is on his mother.

 

Jordan (Keith Powers) appears on the real show where he speaks about his Golden Globe and the status of Rainer in rehab. Nina watches the interview as she exercises in her office. As the interview ends breaking news hits her tv about the trial on the death of Barrett Hopper (Nathan Stewart- Jarrett). Nina quickly shuts the tv off. Her assistant enters the room to inform Nina of Paige’s social media buzz. He also informs her that she is doing an independent film. She barks the order to get Paige in her office that day. He leaves and tells her he is going to. Jordan calls Nina and says that he has a proposition for her. She tells him to proposition her.

 

Later Paige comes into Nina’s office. Nina throws her contract at her and tells her to stop the movie immediately because it is not allowed in her contract. Nina threatens to shut down her indie film. They have a sweet conversation about Rainer but Nina still makes her decision an ultimatum.

 

Tangey (Pepi Sonuga) smiles as her hit song plays in the elevator she is in. As it ends the radio host comments that Tangey is a one hit wonder and questions if she can come back from her career epic fail. Tangey’s smile turns to attitude as she slips her shades over her eyes to conceal her identity. She calls Alexis (Niki Koss) and tells her she needs friend time.

 

We then see Alexis make a scene in a café before dowsing her seemingly date in the face with water. Tangey’s mother calls cut and we learn that Alexis is running a highly rated reality show based on her life called Alexilicious.  Alexis thanks her for the opportunity and gets back to work.

 

Cass and Jake sit back at the diner and look for a location for their short film before the same waitress appears and pretends to be mad at Cass. It seems believable until Jake notices that it is lines from his script. The actress asks how she did and if there is spot open in his film. Cass tells her that the film has already been cast. The waitress’s boss calls and she leaves. Jake is impressed that she can change her emotions on a dime.

 

Paige sits down with all of her agents who tell her that Nina is right and she should stop her film with Jake. Joanie (Sophia Ali) speaks up and tries to offer advice before she is interrupted and sent for coffee by all the other men agents. When she leaves Paige asks the agents if Joanie is an agent or assistant. An agent tells her that she is an Agent and that Paige would appreciate a female on her team. Paige gets up and fires all the men and follows after Joanie. In the lobby Joanie vents to her about her job before telling Paige good luck and she believes in her. Before Joanie can walk away Paige hires her as her new assistant.

 

Jordan meets with Nina and the head of the studio to discuss investing in him to take home an Oscar. Alan (Shawn Christian) is not sure, but they talk him into thinking about it. Nina and Jordan argue some more and tells Nina that he wants to tell Rainer about them while he is in a safe place.

 

Rainer continues his recovery in rehab and tries to kiss his rehab buddy. She tells him that she wants to do rehab right this time. He backs off but they still ends on good terms as she tells him that she will take a rain check on their kiss.

 

Back at home Paige talks with Jake and Cass about keeping their movie shoot on the down low so they don’t rattle Nina’s cage anymore. Cass’s commercial comes on and they support her. Cass gets a call and walks out leaving Paige and Jake to discuss the film and make out.

 

Tangey comes over to Alexis’s house and gets bombarded with the cameras of Alexis’s show. Tangey is not happy because she thought it was a girl’s night out. Tangey ends up leaving, but before she can Alexis invites her out to a party that her show is sponsoring the following night. Tangey agrees to go with her as long as they can go back to Alexis’s house without the camera’s. Alexis tells her yes.

 

Paige walks a house with a realtor to distract him so Jake and Cass can film a scene for their movie.  Jake and Cass hurry into the room as Paige heads outside with the realtor.

 

Rainer meets with Jordan at rehab and they speak about how he is doing. Rainer says that he is doing very well without his mother. Jordan tells him that his mom misses him. Rainer begins to get on edge before Jordan apologizes. He tells Rainer he understands what Nina took from him because he grew up without a father.

 

Back at the house Jake and Cass film a scene before a couple walks into the house for the open house. They are soon driven away by the weird antics of the film. Paige continues to distract the realtor outside before Jake texts her that they are outside. Paige comes back inside with the realtor who persuades her to invest in the house that will save her money. She texts Jake she will be a few more minutes. She continues to check out the rest of the house.

 

At the studio Alan barges into Nina’s office and tells her that he is meeting with the studio tomorrow to tell them he is pulling the plug on locked and someone has to take the blame. Nina tells him that it can’t be her son so she will take the blame.

 

Rainer and his rehab buddy meet to play cards but ends up making out inside a closet after she tells him that she checked out and she’s not breaking any rules.

 

Alexis, Paige, Jake, Cass and Tangey all walk the red carpet of the party as Jordan arrives to ask Tangey is she wants to walk the red carpet with him and stir the pot. She tells him that’s not the kind of publicity she wants and walks away. Inside the party Joanie finds Paige to tell her that she landed her the cover of US weekly. Paige can’t believe it and thanks her is excitement. Tangey makes her way over to Alexis but can’t make her way through the crowd to get to her. She decides to try to leave the party before she is stopped by the singer on stage and is convinced to come on stage and sing with him. Struck by jealousy, Jordan decides to leave with a random girl.

 

Alan walks Nina to her car and gives her a pep talk that Nina shoots down. She ends up kissing him.  Jake and Paige lay in bed and Paige asks Jake to move in with him in the new house. He tells her yes in the sweetest way possible.

 

Rainer checks out of rehab and gets picked up by a fellow resident. She asks him if he is sure about this. Rainer says yes and tells her that he is not going back to work. She asks his place or hers as they get into her car.

 

At Alexis’s house Tangey and Alexis sit in bed and drink wine as they gossip.  Alexis tells Tangey that she thought he was going to go home with the singer at the party. Tangey tells her that she isn’t ready for anything else. Tangey goes on to confide in Alexis about Jordan and Nina having an affair. As the episode closes it is revealed that there is a camera in Alexis’s room and it has recorded their entire conversation. It is unclear if Alexis is aware of the camera or not as we fade to black.
