Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would say my sound goes in different directions. Sometimes it is dark and mysterious while other times you hear joy and happiness in my voice. Regardless, I definitely am passionate while I sing, and I hope people are drawn to the emotion in my voice.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Some of my musical influences definitely are Michael Jackson, Amy Winehouse and Lady Gaga.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Be Here.”

A) My latest single “Be Here” is special to me because of its deep meaning. My mindset on life changed as I started to see outcomes from my music and I wondered what would happen in the future. I got a chance to really sing about a special guy in my life. [smile]

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I think my fans will be able to connect to the meaning of song and I’m hoping they will be able to relate to what I’m singing about, while still having fun as they’re listening to the song.

Q) How will the video play into the message of the song?

A) The video definitely shows you my personal meaning behind the song and expands on it. You get to see me singing to my “boyfriend” the whole time while my dad got angry since he didn’t approve of my boyfriend. The video also brings humor to the table. You will love it. [smile]

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) Usually when I song-write, I’m in the studio making melodies (my favorite part) and going with the ones that flow the best. Then my sister, who is a songwriter, and I write the words to the melodies and I get to sing them.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I help with the structure with the songs and the build up to the chorus. I make sure every instrument sounds good, and if not, then I work with producers to change specific sounds that I’m not too crazy about. I also like have little breaks in my songs that have really cool vocals. I’m definitely learning more about production as time goes on. It’s super interesting.

Q) What was it like working with producer Peoples Garcia?

A) It was really exciting because I’m a fan of Fetty Wap and I think it’s so amazing that he got to work with him so early on. He’s such an inspirational guy to me and it was great to work with him. He was such a cool guy and he taught me a lot about production techniques.

Q) What can fans expect from a live FARRAH performance?

A) Fans can expect to feel as if I’m singing to each person directly. I want my fans to know that I wouldn’t be there without them and we’re all human. I think that special connection between fans and an artist is very important and creates a cool bond at shows and even off-stage, while making even better music.

Q) Will you have an EP or a full album out in the near future?

A) My debut EP Farrah Please should be out before summer 2017. This is gonna be OUR YEAR baby!

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song?

A) Lady Gaga!!! We would make an insanely dope song with huge strong vocals to draw people in.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Social media lets me interact with my fans on a more personal/friendly level! I love learning about all my fans and hearing what they have to say about my music. I also get to show my personality and style on social media… Oh and, of course, I show my sense of humor. [wink]

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I would like to say THANK YOU. Even just one listen to any of my songs or even you reading this interview means more to me than you will ever know. It’s the small things that count. Also a message to my fans: Do NOT care what other people think of you! It’s your life, not theirs. [smile]
