Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I would describe it as spacious. My songs are mostly based on feelings and love, my sound has a mixture of pop, RnB and a hint soul.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Christina Aguilera and Beyonce made a huge impact on my music career since young age. I´ve always been roused of women with a strong, but yet so soothing voice. But I´m a huge fan of Jhene Aiko and Sabrina Claudio as well. They got this sensual and calm sound that I can easily have on repeat 24/7.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song ” Se på meg.”

A) “Se på meg” is a Norwegian (in English “Look at Me”) song that´s about finally getting over that toxic relationship. You finally got to move on and be free and autonomous! When I got this beat from my friend Jon, I just got that woman empowerment vibe and got eager to write the lyrics.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) I guess we all had that one ex that didn´t serve us and the relationship the way we wanted and deserved. When you listen to the song you just want to look at yourself in the mirror and say, “Yaaaaas girl, you are power! You are not dependent on anyone.” I hope that when people hear the catchy hook it makes them feel good and vigorous.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) I can imagine that I´m just doing whatever I want while this guy is literally following me everywhere I go hoping to let me fall back into his arms. But I remain confident and show my self-worth by having a “look at me” attitude! Look at me, does it look like I need a man like you? Nope! Bye boy!

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) For me I need at least a beat to write to. Some are blessed to write songs by just creating a beat in their head, but first things first a beat, the melody then the lyrics comes at last.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) I don´t want to say too much, but yes indeed I´m planning to come with another EP and hopefully an album in the future. But let´s focus on my single that´s coming out very soooon! Woooooh, I´m so excited for this release you have no idea.

Q) How do you shake off a long day in the studio?

A) I eat a loooot of calories! It´s just something with junk food after a long studio session.

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your new EP as a whole?

A) The EP contains about all kind of aspects within love. My songs contain a lot of emotions. I want my listeners to know that it´s okay to feel sad. It’s okay to feel worried or agitated. The best feeling is, of course, the joy, the butterflies in your tummy, but love is not all about that. I want to let my listeners know that they are not alone. Know that where there is no bad, there is no good. We´re human after all.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) Fun fact, I don´t have any favorite places to perform! As long as the people that are watching are having as much fun as I am and that I have a good mic and good sound I´m more than happy and satisfied! But I like the stage being extra spacious so I can move around!

Q) With live performances on hold, have you given any thought to promoting your new music by doing live streaming?

A) I actually have done a couple of live streaming during the pandemic! It´s not the same as doing it live on a real stage, but people still get to see me perform and that´s what is important.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) There are so many talented people out there that I would love to work with, but within Norway I would mention Unge Ferrari, L:U:N:A, Ice, Hkeem and Isah. Internationally, heeeeeey Chris Brown, Sir, Miguel and Masego, u guys wanna collaborate?

Q) What album/band are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) I´m obsessed with Sir´s album Chasing Summer! I can really feel his emotions through his songs. And oh, let´s not forget Jhene Aiko´s Chilombo album! Loooove.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) As an independent musician, social media is the biggest and most important tool for promotion. Promotion is the key to get your music heard! Social media is also incredible cause your fans can feel involved and be a part of your music journey. It´s important for me that I can have my fans by my side at all times.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) I love you and thank you so much for your support! I`m not doing music only for myself but for you guys! You give me motivation and inspiration! I really appreciate every single one of you from the bottom of my heart. I just feel so humbled and grateful to the people who have been a part of my journey this far! All love to you.
