Q) Please tell us the premise for the new CBS show “Tracker.”

A) Colter Shaw played by Justin Hartley is a “rewardist” who roams from town to town, helping find missing objects and people, with the help of his closet team along the way. But I think the heart of the show is really about family, the family we choose to build in the family created who we are.

Q) What attracted you to the role of Reenie?

A) She’s smart, sassy, determined and, most importantly, good hearted. Oh, and she’s fashionable. Very fashionable.

Q) As an actor, what aspects of Reenie’s personality do you find most intriguing, and how did you bring your own creativity to develop her character further?

A) Initially, this character was only meant to be a recurring guest role, but I felt she had so much more to give other than her previous relationship with Colter and her expertise lawyer skills… and I think the network saw that, too. I hope to bring a depth to her, that audiences can relate to, a fierceness amidst her real vulnerabilities.

Q) “Tracker” follows Colter Shaw as he travels to solve crimes and find missing persons. How does Reenie fit into the overall narrative, and what role does she play in Colter’s journey?

A) Initially Renee starts off as his lawyer, coming into the picture when she’s needed… But I have a hopeful feeling things may change a little.

Q) This is the second time you’ve played a lawyer. How does your role on “Tracker” differ from your previous work as an on-screen attorney?

a) Well, first and foremost, the other lawyer I played was in prison, the whole time, which made it difficult for her to legally continue her work…I felt like Rebecca Lee from “Fire Country” was more of an inmate firefighter than anything else… whereas Reenie’s entire life is consumed with practicing law. So much so I think she incorporates It into every aspect of her life.

Q) The show revolves around solving crimes and locating missing persons. Did you have to undergo any specific preparation or research for your role as Reenie, considering the nature of the series?

A) Not initially for tracking , but I did A LOT of research in regards to the types of law one can practice in the US from state to state —-but as filming has progressed, I’ve spent a lot of time working alongside Justin and have learned what might go into the types of lessons Reenie must’ve gone through growing up to put her in the position she’s in today.

Q) What can you tease are some memorable or challenging moments from filming the series that stand out to you?

A) Well, for one, when your coworker is also your boss, it can be a little scary, but Justin has been an absolute dream and hoot to work with. The one thing worth mentioning is how much we’re on location, outside in the rain or cold. There was actually day shooting episode seven that it was -15° outside and costumes offered me gloves…I decided not to take them as, logically, I thought my character wouldn’t be wearing gloves at that moment…Boy, they take three…I really wish I could’ve taken that back. 😭

Q) What do you think sets “Tracker” apart from other crime-solving dramas?

A) Well, firstly, the cast. I feel like we really have a diverse set of actors with so much to bring, intelligence, wit, humor and just a really unique flair and chemistry. Secondly, for a network drama which has heart and comedy… It really feels gritty like I’m shooting a film.  And lastly, the crew!!!!…I’ve worked on quite a few productions, and just like any job there’s drama or conflict…But for a Season One, our show already has such a collaborative nature and run so smoothly as if we were already in a Season Four…And all of the amazing humans that work behind the camera are so talented and kind, I feel really lucky to be on the set.

Q) What are some other upcoming projects that you have been busy working on?

A) Alongside shooting “Tracker,” I’ve been balancing shooting “Lincoln Lawyer” Season Three…For those who saw how Season Two ended, there may be a lot of questions there, which will be answered in due time!! Also, my latest video game Yakuza LIKE A DRAGON: Infinite Wealth was just released last month where this time I’m a playable character…Take me to karaoke!! 😭

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who are fans and supporters of the work you’ve done?

A) Well, first and foremost, thank you from the bottom of my heart… And thank you from my 14-year-old self, whose dreams are coming true… And also to please check out some of the other work. I’m very passionate about like my educational and nonprofit work… I feel like my career really gives me the opportunity to do more in my community and I couldn’t be more grateful.
