Fans of board games, this creation is for you! Boxed board games and puzzles tend to fall apart after years of use and storage. The tried-and-true way to refurbish these boxes has solely been the use of tape or simply putting pieces in a Ziplock bag or a Tupperware container. Now, there is a much better way to salvage existing boxed games – Fixdabox!
Fixdabox is a patented game and puzzle box repair and protection system. It was launched in September 2019 to aid well-worn in boxes. The polycarbonate pieces to Fixdabox can’t renew your game, but it can save them from future pressures and wear and tear that would cause additional damage.
The pieces to Fixdabox come in a variety colors from black, clear, pink, red and blue in order to compliment the gaming box. I had the opportunity to try this new product as I have a number of time-honored games in my home. Fixdabox was easy to put on the corners of my gaming boards – much easier and less messy than having to have someone squeeze together sides in order to place tape or glue to hold it together.
First-time customers are required to measure the lids or bottom box in order to find the best fit. Fixdabox comes in four sizes, so it wasn’t too much of a task to find pieces that fit my Sorry! and Game of Life containers. However, it was a bit tricky to adjust the pieces once they were placed on the game, but dislodging the grooves wasn’t a terrible undertaking.
Fixdabox is also more suited towards classic games and puzzles. So, anyone with newer versions of games or puzzles may be out of luck until the company releases their “Gamer Edition” model to take on these thicker boxes. Hang tight!
For those who find it annoying to constantly have to repair their game boxes with tape or glue, Fixdabox has got you covered! Simply head to www.fixdabox.com to snag your own solution to maintaining the games and puzzles that you have grown to treasure.
