Q: So, Adam was a bit of a slimy character at the end…

A: What?! Slimy? Okay, I’ll take that…I think that maybe Sarah [Gertrude Shapiro] wanted him to be a bit more of a bad guy than I made him.

Q: I mean, you always have to side with your character.

A: Yeah, you always have to defend your character, which I think I always end up doing. I’d like to think that the sides of him that wind up being more similar to me are when he was defending the people. He defended Mary (Ashley Scott) when he needed to with her husband and Faith (Breeda Wool) when he leaked the sex tape. He had moments of chivalry. I’d like to think that’s closer to me instead of the slimy, horrible guy.

Q: I’m not sure how much you can say, but can you tease a bit of what brings you back in Season Two?

A: It’s just to mess things up, really. It’s to cause problems for Rachel (Shiri Appleby), essentially.

Q: Who would your ideal celebrity suitor be?

A: Oh, I don’t know. That’s a tricky question. A friend of mine, Bradley James, that would be fun. I think we’d have a lot of fun being on the same show. He’d make a very good suitor—he’s a dashing Englishman.

Q: If you could choose a different reality show for UnREAL to cover, what would it be?

A: If they would bring me back and I was part of it, I’d say Survivor because then you get to go to some gorgeous islands for a couple months. You could still do a lot of manipulation with contestants and whatnot.

Q: I know there have been a lot of people directing who have acted or written on the show, is that something that you’d want to do?

A: I think so, yeah. I’ve been playing around with a camera, editing and writing and I’m starting to find a real passion for it. I think it’s really fun. I’ve started to realize that I love acting, but I also just love the whole world of storytelling and cinema. I could definitely see a possibility of that. It’s a great situation to be in while you’re acting because it allows you to sometimes shadow directors, just like what Shiri’s done. She’s a real director now, which is awesome.
