Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) I’d say that’s a Soulful Dance House. Not sure if this genre exists. [laughs] It’s often in these uncharted musical territories that we find the most innovative and exciting sounds, pushing the boundaries of what genres can be.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) Disclosure, Joel Corry, MK, Calvin Harris

Q) Talk about the story behind your song “Party Songs.”

A) “Party Songs” is a heartfelt tribute to the golden era of EDM, seamlessly blended with contemporary dance elements, and having the incredible INNA on board makes it an exceptionally meaningful project for me. This track is like a musical time capsule that pays homage to the euphoric vibes and infectious beats of the EDM heydays, which have left an indelible mark on dance music history.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) All the teenage memories that they happily remind them of. The song has a unique ability to transport its listeners back to a time when life was filled with youthful exuberance, joy and the excitement of discovering the world of music and dance. These are the memories that often hold a special place in our hearts, and they tend to be a source of comfort and nostalgia.

Q) How did you come to connect with INNA for a feature on the song?

A) When I signed with Dance Differently, they put me in contact with her as a feature for my first single with her. To say I was thrilled by this opportunity would be an understatement. INNA’s outstanding talent and unique energy brought an electrifying dynamic to the track, elevating its overall appeal. Working alongside her was an incredibly exciting and rewarding experience, and I eagerly embraced the chance to create something truly exceptional together.

Q) What made “Early in the Morning” the perfect follow up to “Party Songs?”

A) “Early in the Morning” felt like the ideal follow-up to “Party Songs” for several reasons. Firstly, it allowed me to introduce my audience to the essence of my musical project. The energetic and vibrant nature of “Early in the Morning” perfectly complemented the celebratory spirit of “Party Songs,” giving listeners a continued taste of what my music is all about.

Q) When you’re creating a track, what is your song writing process? Do you need a beat before you can craft around it and maybe add lyrics, or do you tend to let the vocalist you collab with come up with their own words?

A) Lately, my songwriting process has evolved. I’ve been starting with a musical progression and improvising vocal melodies while recording them. This approach has proven to be incredibly helpful in kickstarting my creative process, as it allows me to grasp the direction and potential of an idea from the very beginning. It’s a dynamic method that enables me to build a strong foundation for a track and provides valuable insight into the musical landscape I want to explore.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I always try to put 100% of my skills, but then I struggle to find the upgrading thing. I tend to collaborate with someone else. I also truly believe in co-productions and collaborations in general because, in the end, all the really good stuff isn’t made by only one person. I mean, sometimes it happens, but it’s soooo hard. You just never know.

Q) Will there be a full album or EP coming in the near future?

A) Currently, it’s not at the top of my priority list, but it’s definitely on my radar. I would absolutely love to create an album, but I believe that before embarking on such a project, it’s important to have the right platform and recognition. Building a larger audience and making a significant impact with my music is something I’d like to achieve before diving into the album-making process. It’s all about timing and ensuring that when the moment is right, I can deliver something truly special to my fans.

Q) Where are some of your favorite places to perform and what makes those locations so significant to you?

A) I have a special affinity for clubs, especially during the summertime. They provide an intimate and immersive setting for the music and there’s a unique connection with the audience in such venues. While I haven’t had the chance to perform at festivals yet, they are definitely on my wish list because I’ve always dreamt of the electrifying atmosphere and massive crowds they offer.

Q) Who would you most like to collaborate with on a song in the future?

A) One of my top choices for a dream collaboration would be Jess Glynne. She’s undeniably one of my favorite singers and working with her would be an absolute dream come true. I believe our musical vibes align exceptionally well, and the synergy we could create together would be something truly special.

Q) What artist/musician are you currently listening to and why do you dig them?

A) Lately, I’ve been heavily into Travis Scott’s latest album. Moreover, I’m quite drawn to trap music in general, particularly when I’m working out. In the mornings, I like to kickstart my day with some soul and funk tunes playing in the background, especially while having breakfast or attending to house-related tasks. The smooth and groovy melodies of these genres help create a positive and relaxed atmosphere to begin my day on the right note.

Q) You are a part of social media. Why is that such an important way for you to connect with your fans?

A) Being present on social media is undeniably essential for an artist in today’s digital age. It provides a direct and personal channel to connect with the audience, share my music and engage in meaningful interactions with fans. I believe there’s potential to do even more in this space, but I also want to strike a balance and not overwhelm myself. Social media can sometimes be stressful, so it’s a challenge to manage everything effectively. Nonetheless, I’m committed to finding a healthy equilibrium that allows me to engage with my fans and share my music while taking care of my well-being.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) Thank you for all the support and I’m glad that in a precise time of your life you picked one of my songs as a soundtrack. This is something priceless.
