Q) What can you share we will get to see with regards with the continued developing relationship between Jude and Connor?

A) We did see the teaser and Jude and Connor are going to have friends coming into their relationship. That is going to make an interesting twist for them.

Q) Are these male friends or female friends?

A) As we saw in the teaser, there were two girls.

Q) Does this play at all into what happened in the tent?

A) I don’t think it has anything to do with the tent. Everyone is wondering what happened in the tent. Jude confessed what happened, but we still don’t know for sure if that was the truth.

Q) Are these the same girls involved in the tent incident?

A) I’m actually not sure. They could be different girls…

Q) How has playing Connor changed your attitude towards the LGBT community?

A) The impact of my character has changed so many people’s lives. There are so many kids out there who are gay or different in their own way and can’t feel like they can be open. Connor is helping kids feel okay to be different, even at a young age.

Q) How has it been for you addressing it on the show and becoming an advocate?

A) It’s opened my eyes to people being different and the LGBT community. I didn’t really know too much about it before filming “The Fosters.” Now that I have started filming, I’ve heard so many fans’ stories about what they go through. Its definitely opened my eyes.

Q) How has your relationship with Hayden Byerly evolved as well?

A) Us playing the characters on the show, it’s not necessarily the scenes we play, but just filming on set for the years we have has brought us closer. We’re very good friends now.

Q) Will we be seeing this season more of Connor’s evolution of dealing with his own sexuality or coming to terms with it?

A) Yes, we will with Connor. His storyline will unfold. We have yet to see where his sexuality is going to go and his relationship with Jude. There is a lot of paths that the writers could take.

Q) What has been your favorite moment from filming “The Fosters?”

A) My favorite scene that we shot was the “Blue For Jude” scene. I thought that was the best one and it is a lot of peoples’ favorites.

Q) Connor also has this adversarial relationship with his father. Will he be working on his relationship with his father this season, too?

A) I think somewhere towards the end of Season 2 he does make amends with his father. They do fix things. I think his father should start understanding that Connor has feelings for Jude.

Q) What has it been like for you portraying this heated familial relationship?

A) It’s been interesting playing a character where he is so close with Jude and it is hard for him to stay close to him because his father is not really letting him do that.

Q) Is there anyone else besides the girls that may come into play this season within Connor’s relationship with Jude?

A) I think with other people coming into their relationship it is the two girls from the teaser and there are interesting twists in the storyline that may change Jude and Connor’s relationship. They may interfere with things.

Q) As a part of social media, do you enjoy the instant fan feedback you receive?

A) I hear from kids all over the world about how Connor and Jude are helping them cope with their feelings. Some of them have even said that their parents are more open to talking about it after watching the show. I think that is really important, keeping communication open. Kids need to feel safe and not hide their feelings. It only causes problems when they keep it inside.

Q) What is it like for you being a role model?

A) It’s been great being a role model for other kids. It’s life changing, actually! It’s an eye opening experience.

Q) Are there any other projects you are working on?

A) I’m filming “The Fosters.” As of now, I’m just auditioning and trying to get a big movie.

Q) You do a lot of skateboarding. Is there anything that is a guilty pleasure for you? A show? A band? An activity?

A) Right now, I am listening to a lot of music. I’m starting to get into video editing and movies, making short films.
