Q) How would you describe your sound?

A) It’s Pop, but with splashes of lots of other things. People often say “synth pop” or “indie pop,” which is all correct. There is definitely some R&B mixed in there as well.

Q) Who are some of your musical influences?

A) We are both inspired by many artists, both old and new. We have differences in taste, but align when it comes to Michael Jackson, Prince, Whitney Houston, etc. I’ve always been inspired by great song writer/performers like Elton John and Freddie Mercury.

Q) Talk about the story behind your new song “Change.”

A) “Change” is about falling in love with the way someone is at a specific moment in time and hoping that they won’t ever change. In many cases people are multi-dimensional and are the products of their past, in both positive and negative ways. There is nothing worse than the fear of falling in love with a version of someone that won’t last. The song ask,s “Is having a change of heart a real thing?” We all experience changing our minds, but maybe the heart knows exactly what it wants all along and we just have to let it win.

Q) What do you think it is about the song that fans connect to?

A) Everyone has been there, hoping that someone or something won’t change and scared that it might.  We all feel the same things.

Q) How does the video for the track play into the message behind it?

A) The video is about two kids who grow up together and fall in love, but the boy’s destiny is to travel to space.  She wants him to be happy, but doesn’t want anything to change. You can take the video to be very literal, or as a huge metaphor, and that’s why I love it. We all experience love and loss and everything in between.

Q) What is your song writing process? Do you need music before you can create lyrics?

A) We both do very different things in the song writing process. Luke creates the music and is the producer/engineer and I write the lyrics and the melodies.  I don’t need music before writing lyrics, but I do love to be inspired by Luke’s music for the lyrics.

Q) How much of hand do you have in the production of your music?

A) I give my two cents here and there, but Luke is the producer of GGFO music.

Q) You are out on your Spring Has Sprung Tour now! What can fans expect from a live Great Good Fine Ok performance?

A) We take our live show very seriously and want it to be a SHOW. It’s lights and sparkles and bangers and dancing and what has been described by a fan in Phoenix as “getting into a hot jacuzzi.”

Q) What do you hope listeners take away from listening to your upcoming EP as a whole?

A) We always hope that people feel something when they hear our music. It doesn’t matter whether it makes them dance or cry, as long as it connects in some way. Our music is extremely honest and personal, and we hope that comes across.

Q) What would you like to say to everyone who is a fan and supporter of you and your work?

A) A big fat THANK YOU. We are inspired every day by our amazing fans who have shown us so much love for years.
