After finding Crow (Shaun Benson) with nails in his head and repeating “Baphomet” over and over, the group is now in full panic. Blake (Atticus Mitchell) freaks out and declares that he is ready to leave, despite the conditions outside. Kawayan (Emmanuel Kabongo) takes pictures to document the scene before him and Floyd (Gray Powell) move Crow’s body into the fridge. While in the freezer, Floyd sees that Crow is still alive and taking the opportunity…he decides to finish him.
As Andy (Jim Watson) goes to visit Paige (Paula Brancati), Floyd heads back his and Shirley’s (Yanna McIntosh) room. The two talk and Shirley is still convinced that Kawayan is their mystery slasher. However, Floyd does not believe that and is against the idea. But Shirley remains determined and goes to visit him, where she finds the artist continuing to create his installation. Shirley admires the colors that he uses and Kawayan admits to mixing his own blood into the paint. Intrigued, Shirley watches this process and even contributes some of her own blood to help the artist.
In a flashback from thirty years prior, a young Shirley (Mercedes Morris) goes to the residence of a young Floyd (Mike Taylor)…a practicing Satanist. Shirley grew up with religion and explains how disillusioned she feels by the idea of God after the loss of her father. Feeling like Satan was cast out by God for being a rebel, Shirley convinces Floyd to try and summon a demon: Baphomet. During their ritual, Shirley has brought an offering of her neighbor’s pet cat….but it does not seem to be enough.
Present-day, the group eats together before they return to their rooms to pack the essentials and venture out into the woods. Blake encourages Paige to eat, but she is not sure that she wants to venture out. Floyd continues to try and discourage the group from leaving for his and Shirley’s mission, but everyone sans Paige is ready to leave. During packing, Adrianna (Genevieve DeGraves) makes snide comments to Paige about her glamorous lifestyle. Paige shuts down those words with the reality that her life is nothing like the actress life Adrianna believes.
Andy and Kawayan are the first to try venturing out of the motel, but are stopped once they see Crow’s head on a stake. Outside, they are greeted by a masked figure dressed as Baphomet who attacks them. The two men are injured and make their way inside to tend to their wounds. Andy heads to Paige’s room and she fixes him up, but their peace is short-lived when a frantic Blake enters and demands to see Paige’s shoes. Believing that one of them is responsible for all the deaths, Blake is determined to get to the bottom of the mystery.
Shirley goes to visit Kawayan’s room and is greeted by him destroying his current installation. Deciding to seize the opportunity, Shirley tries to talk to Kawayan and share her dark side with him. Believing that Shirley is trying to get him to admit to the current body count, Kawayan goes on a rant and Shirley quickly realizes that the resident artist is not their mystery man. With this knowledge, she lets her husband know that Kawayan Is their next target.
In another flashback, Shirley and Floyd bond over their mutual affinity for Satan. Shirley then realizes that there are ley lines that cluster at one particular spot about three hours away. If they can perform the ritual to summon Baphomet there during Saturn’s journey around the sun, they just might get why they are looking for. The two make plans to carry out the ritual, provide more sacrifices, and get the answers they have been seeking. Once they reach the cluster of ley lines at the Cold River Motel, they are ready to carry out their plan.
Realizing that she has a hard time with seeing her friends being hurt, Adrianna seeks comfort by going to Blake’s room. While Blake rips into Adrianna and her sadistic ways, she admits to being scared under their current circumstances. Blake softens towards her and goes out in search of a deck of cards and some snacks.
Kawayan is working on his installation when Floyd enters his room. The men scuffle and during that time, Shirley emerges from the shadows and stabs Kawayan. As the artist chokes on his blood, both Floyd and Shirley take turns twisting the knife deeper into Kawayan’s belly. Positive that he has stopped breathing, the couple leaves the room. However, Kawayan is still breathing when the other masked figure enters the room.
Blake returns with a deck of cards and a snack, the two sharing their life stories while Adrianna finally shows remorse for her part in murder. Meanwhile, a bandaged Andy walks around the hallway and stops in front of Kawayan’s room. Opening the door, he sees a dead Kawayan….now a part of his own art installation.
