In a flashback we are taken back to the night of the bloody house party….namely Blake’s (Atticus Mitchell) story of survival. Him and his friend Stefano (Nick Boegel) currently take refuge in one of the rooms, but Blake realizes that his girlfriend Farah (Rojan Molanian) is hiding in the basement. The boys head towards the basement, but Stefano immediately backpedals and believes they will be caught in the basement. Before Blake can convince Stefano to come with him, the killer carves a smile onto Stefano and murders him.
As Paige (Paula Brancati), Andy (Jim Watson), Floyd (Gray Powell), Shirley (Yanna McIntosh) and Blake secure Adrianna’s (Genevieve DeGraves) body with the others….paranoia begins to set in. Not willing to become one of the victims, Blake pulls a gun on everyone and has them tie each other up. He believes that everyone has a motive to be the killer. From Paige’s failed acting career, Andy’s obsession about studying the Cold River Motel killer, Floyd’s temper, and Shirley’s compliance….everyone is a suspect.
Once Blake makes his way to the basement of the house, he sets out to locate Farah. Finding her hiding in a freezer, the two make their way upstairs and run out the door of the house. However, Farah and Blake are lured back in when they see their friend Angelica (Trinity Chan) in one of the windows upstairs. But once they get to Angelica, it is too late: she has been stabbed. Angelica pleads for Farah to remove the knife, and that decision is a poor one as Angelica bleeds to death in front of her friends. Hearing the footsteps coming up the stairs, Blake and Farah go to hide underneath a bed.
While hiding, Blake tries to assure Farah that they are going to make it out of there. He tells Farah how they are going to get married and spend their lives together, which calms Farah just a little bit. Their moment of peace is short-lived once the killer walks into the room. But before they are discovered, a policeman (Andrew Chown) arrives to the scene to investigate. As the officer slowly comes down the hallway, the killer appears and is immediately shot. When the officer goes to check the body, Blake and Farah are stopped by the officer on their way out of the house. Unfortunately for the officer, he learns that the killer is wearing Kevlar and becomes anotherr victim. Blake and Farah take the opportunity to run outside and try to get away in the police car….only to find there are no keys. The killer gets the upper hand and tries to break into the car to get them, but the two escape and head right back into the house.
Realizing that he will have to use force to get a confession, Blake makes the decision to interrogate Floyd with his own brand of torture. Brandishing a large knife, Blake proceeds to push the blade into Floyd’s back to goad him to admitting his guilt. As Floyd screams in pain, everyone else pleads with him to stop. Needing a moment to gather himself, Blake goes into the refrigerator and grabs vodka off the shelf. Taking some generous swigs, he walks over to Adrianna’s corpse and and starts to talk to her about she was not afraid to be who she was.
With Blake drinking his sorrows away, Andy tells Paige to help grab his pen knife out of his pocket and hand it to him. Paige succeeds and Andy immediately gets to work, trying to cut the rope around his hands. Blake comes back out into the dining area, drunk and ready to end it all. Andy continues to plead with an eerily quiet Blake, saying that they are all innocent and maybe Blake could leave and get help for all of them.. With each person pleading for their life, Blake is still skeptical and reminds the group that he survived without the help of police.
Blake and Farah run into another room, cornered by the killer. As Blake stands in fear, Farah begins to fight the killer and he is stabbed. Bleeding out at an alarming rate, the killer reveals himself. His name is Cullen (Augustus Oicle) and he was a pledge that was heavily hazed by Blake and his frat boys. But when Blake’s hazing and posting humiliating pictures of Cullen cost him everything, Cullen decided to take revenge. However, the police now arrive in full force and it would appear Blake and Farah will survive. But in one last effort, Cullen grabs Farah and puts a knife to her throat. Cullen offers Blake a choice: he can take Farah’s place and she goes free….or Farah will die. Paralyzed by fear and cowardice, Blake flees and his girlfriend becomes the final victim.
Deciding that Floyd would go first, Blake points the gun at his head. At that moment, Andy is finally able to break free and grapples with Blake. Everyone else finally gets free and Blake takes the opportunity to open fire, missing everyone. Fresh out of bullets and stabbed in the scuffle, Blake flees the motel. Rather than go after him, the group barricades the motel to protect themselves.
Coming down the stairs once more, Blake encounters more police. At first they go to arrest him, but he quickly explains that the killer is upstairs. Later, the EMT (Ahmed Mokdad) patches up Blake as the officer ((Jeff Roop) praises Blake for doing what he can. Later, Blake writes a book that makes him appear more heroic than he was that fateful night. While the audience applauds him, Blake is haunted by seeing a dead Farah in the audience….with a bloody smile.
Bleeding out and crawling down the road, Blake continues to put distance between himself and the motel. Unfortunately, the masked figure arrives on a snow blower and has found him. Kicking the snow blower into high gear, Blake becomes the next victim as he is run over and pulverized.
